Science & God

What? Did you expect God to do simple card tricks? If God gives us a sign, it will something that is IMPOSSIBLE for us to do. Not merely HARD or INCONVENIENT: but completely impossible for us to do: Rising from the dead after three days. Walking on water. Changing water into wine. God did not use slights of hand here: he used his power as their ultimate creator to accomplish this.

Now if you only prove these "tricks" really happened.

Rising from the dead? I heard Jesus was made to get high and then he passed out, then he woke up on the third day. You don't seriously he walked on water? If he did, or made water into win, you could never prove that. It is impossible for us to do that, i agree. It is also impossible to prove that could have ever happend.

dude I totally want to make water into win! :D

In my faith Creator is as much a part of creation as the source of it. You can't separate the two from one another, so I guess I agree with Sunstone. Creator came into 'existence' during the "big bang" (have I mentioned I hate that name?)

I'd like to ask you, what are your religious beliefs, are they from a Native American tradition?

The general idea of creator is rather "Pan-indian" (much as I hate the term)
I try to follow the ways of my Cherokee (Tsalagi) ancestors as much as I can, but I'm not affiliated with the Nation offically. I've also had a lot of influence from local first Nations like the Abnaki and Micmac. As well as many others I've talked with. :D

Add to that my ruthlessly scientific streak and you get a fun, if slightly neurotic mix. :jiggy:

I've always thought the various Native American tribes concepts regarding a god were
interesting, certainly a refreshing departure from mainline religions.

You're right. I really need to reconsider what God is and has done for us.

Thanks,

Good to have a new religion aboard. It seems an odd mix: Pan-Indian Religion(sorry I can't really avoid it) and a scientific streak?
