Science must fall

Jonathan Ainsley Bain

Logical Positivist
Apparently they experience gravity differently in Africa so we should let them create their own scientific theories that explain it from their experiences and also include black magic.

While these points of view are needed, what often happens is that
there is a good and a bad side to what is going on South Africa at the moment.

Instead of claiming that the establishment is biased, and therefore unfair, or even unscientific,
the catch-phrase 'colonial' is used as a euphemism for 'white'.

As a white South African who fought tooth and nail against the previous fascist govt,
it is terribly sad, that the current regime is descending into rhetoric that
is becoming more and more hostile to white people. More and more like the previous govt.

All universities have been closed for more than 6 weeks as riots explode.
Violence is rife, with the unrealistic a demand for 'free education'.
Actually there is plenty of money for those students, it is just that the
academics embezzle most of the money for themselves. No doubt
as the stories of collapse of the South African universities abounds,
good-willed donors throw money at 'poor Africa'. The academics keep
the Lion's share, and the students become more agitated.
I do not know the extent of academic embezzlement, but I have
frequented 15 university departments over the last 30 years formally,
and quite a few more departments informally. Most academics are pathological.
As are the students.

The students are themselves badly educated by the terribly backward
schooling system which puts uniforms and haircuts ahead of thinking
and understanding. Affirmative action has given students a sense of entitlement
where society rewards those who are persecuted. So now everyone tries
to construct themselves as persecuted to be rewarded.

The previous govt was an evil and horrific bunch of nazis, no doubt.
I'm just trying to show a balanced view.
Its a total mess, and I am glad not to be involved in formal academia
any longer. I could suggest that the academics and the students deserve the
problems they are making for each other. And perhaps it is all justified karma.

Make no mistake, the mindlessness of South African academia is just as much to
blame as the ignorance of the students. I am normally an optimist, but I see
no real solution as a result of internal processes.

But the real problem was that the ANC continued to pursue
overpopulation as a means of ensuring a large amount of voting fodder was cultivated.
This was in response to the previous fascist govt.
But after the nazis were toppled, the overpopulation process did not abate.
The nazis themselves, just put on 'sheep's clothing'
but continue to pursue their nihilistic egotism and self aggrandizement.
Most of them are not even racist. Racism was just an excuse to
exploit others. That lot pursued violence against their own children in order
to make them as aggressive as possible.

Likely South Africa will descend into civil war in due course.
There are a few good people on both sides.

Trying to stay positive.
Please stop feeding the animals.

Is there a definition to the word "decolonization" that I'm not aware of but is correctly being used in this video?
As in the question "how do we even start to decolonize science?". Is it some new slang?
