A person can't survive in the profession I work in without valuing intelligence, logic and an astute tune into cultural progress.

However, the world could do with a lot less philosophy majors and professors.

You would like a world where people think less about it.

Science is a process......it may have had an origin in the "west" but the actual process of science does not change depending on geography. Let alone the false dichotomy of east and west.

I stated twice in this thread what I have a strong distaste for; I won't state it a third time.

You started this thread due to a disagreement with me in a different thread; one that you decided to behave obnoxiously and feign insults towards me, then quickly deleted when you realized I had responded to you first.

Like I said before: I feel sorry for you - a "cogent philosopher" should know that sexual interaction is an imperative part of a healthy human psyche; something that you have apparently deliberately deprived yourself of.

Noone will blame me when you try to attack women for being repulsed by you nor will they when you finally off yourself.

I didn't make the claim you suggested I did.

I didn't paint your suicide as a foregone conclusion.

I did, however, highlight the fact that you made a creepy post about being a cat playing with a mouse; characterizing it as me.

I'm undisturbed by some sexless creep going crazy and screaming at me to leave a thread you directed solely at me.

I'm really glad I haven't lived your life; it seems completely consumed by pain.

Speaking frankly, I've always found this to be an odd argument and justification. Can it actually be shown that these animals have homosexuality? Can it be proven that they are attracted to the same sex? It's odd to me that it's so clearly homosexuality when it's two males going at it, but not heterosexuality and "just reproduction" when it's M>F.

Me too.
It's natural to swallow smaller weaker creatures to die from soaking in stomach acid in the dark.
It's natural to eat your environment into destruction and then die of starvation.

Natural behavior is only amoral among animals because they don't know any better and can't be expected to. In humans, the same behavior is immoral because we can know better. Why anyone thinks that "natural" is a standard of morality is beyond me.
