O.K., great, I got the wrong impression there. What about the global flood? Where are you on that?

Still forming an official opinion. I am leaning towards a regional flood instead of global.

O.K. I thought you said something about Noah taking species on the ark--was that you?

Yes. I quoted scripture on that from what the Bible says. I think it was just regional animals/people as well though. Its a matter of what Noah perceived to be "the world" imho. Not the actual entire planet.

I'm confused as to what you believe. Do you believe that all the animals on earth descended from the species that Noah took on the ark a few thousand years ago? ToE says all organisms on earth descended from a common ancestor over the last 3 billion years ago, that new species have been emerging gradually over time by descent with modification plus natural selection, that species eventually go extinct, that 99% of the species that have ever existed are extinct, and so forth. What part of this do you accept; what part do you reject, if any?

Why would he need all species of the earth if it was only a regional flood? You are over thinking this a bit I think. Simple is better sometimes hehe.

So you think the creatures in the Near East were on the ark, and the species in that region descended from those creatures?

Well no. Because after the flood other species moved into and out of the area as well. So it would not be just the species Noah carried with him.

Enoch: At this point I have no idea what your position is. Let's take it slow. Do you understand what the Theory of Evolution (ToE) says?

Well imho humans was created relatively closely to what we are now. But I also believe we have evolved since then as well. As for the rest of the creatures of the world ToE works just fine for me.
