Scientists say human consciousness comes from another dimension

One leading theory suggests that consciousness is related to how much information is integrated between the different parts of the brain. The more information is connected and integrated, the more conscious a being is thought to be.

Another posits that conscious mental states are driven by top-down signaling in the brain. Top-down signaling refers to the process by which higher-level brain regions send information, expectations or context to lower-level brain regions.

But Pravica's theory ventures outside the realm of neuroscience and into theoretical physics.

He suggested that in moments of heightened awareness, like when we enter a dream state or use our brains for deeply creative or intellectual tasks, our consciousness could transcend our physical dimension and enter a higher plane.

Is it really worth me reading anymore?
Yes, because you will also "discover what heaven's really like - by a top brain surgeon who went there. Read DR EBEN ALEXANDER'S testimony of what he saw and the astonishing proof it was real."

I'll just wait for it to appear in the science journal Nature or Scientific American.

Axioms of Metaphysics

1.] The mind exists at individual points in metric space but shares a single point in sub-space. This would explain why non local mind can exist.
2.] The human brain resonates between material and immaterial levels of reality. Reality has its own frequency because it IS energy.
3.] The world and the body appear within consciousness, rather than the other way around.
4.] The higher dimension contains the separation, effecting the non-separation.
5.] When man is unprotected he will become prey to a type of logic that resides in reality(the thing we incorrectly believe can only be perceived and not mind connection that fills our flesh and blood bodies as well as everything else and thus results in non-separation and hence limitlessness).
6.] Self and non-self or God and non-God merge to become the one that distributes over the one.
7.] I am as sure of this as the shortest distance between A and B must be a straight line.
8.] Every conscious being is one conscious being existing in parallel, experiencing themselves as a separate and distinct lifeform.
9.] Mind = Reality = Language. Reality enters the mind in the form of language or information.
10.] Reality is self-perceptual. Reality observes itself.
11.] Death is an illusion of change. Whereas objects exist within time and space, reality does not.
12.] Reality is the set of all things that exist. This, as we can see, leads to the self-inclusion paradox. Reality is the subset as well as the powerset of itself.
13.] Non-separation is also known as unity by spirit
14.] God is not apparent in the matter we perceive. Therefore, as elusive as God is, He can only be known through logic and mathematics. Less so empiricism.
15.] Two things are different because they have at least one similarity in common, namely that they are both real.
16.] Your nature is identical to the universe's syntactic structure.
Note: these axioms are arguably theoretical. That is their only limitation. The underlying theme is non-separation.

Making connections, triggers and data transfer, the resonance associated and processed as an experience all seem part of the process itself. Theoretically, I would suggest that we are each neuro stations or individual synapses, containing our own pool of data, connected to a much larger network of same type neuro stations, containing their own unique pool of data, to be transferred to and through other like stations, and each station continually increasing the data able to be transferred through them. It all gets mixed up, diluted, and sometimes confused from one point to the others. I think it's in the processing ability of each station that accuracy is secured and/or lost.

How about Popular Mechanics? This LINK was included in the article but it's also paywalled and it looks like it's Popular Mechanics that led the first article about 6 days ago. Even the Daily Mail article referenced back to Popular Mechanics.

My two cents; it's an exciting possibility and in no way conflicts with my religious and spiritual beliefs.

It's not official until it gets into a peer reviewed science journal.

It seems the article links to (and is apparently based on) an article in Popular Mechanics, but I couldn't access that because it's for members only.

Scientific knowledge and the Daily Mail cannot survive in the same universe.
"Atheistic ignorance", reading the DM does not make me intelligent.
I'll broaden my mind by reading peer reviewed journals.

I limit my mind through these, if these are my only source for data. My ignorance is ensnared within my unwillingness to gather, but then what I gather I must also separate and place in its appropriate folder. The problem I run into is my peers and who I value as a peer. The same is true for my teachers. I choose them. They can't become until I choose to allow them to be. My prison is of my own making, and I limit myself by closing doors that might otherwise be opened. This isn't necessarily bad. It's simply true. I'll get to where I'm going when I get there; no sooner, no later.

Big difference there.
One can find an individual scientist to
support any belief. But where's the
testing for this "theory", that would
actually raise it from wild speculation
to a theory in science?

And then reading just a few words reveals that this is a scientist who "went to heaven." I stopped there...

I went to Heaven (Haven) once, was told I wasn't going to control things there, and then it was demanded that I pee in a cup, to which I replied with a very frank "no". It was only a couple to three days stay and I was nearly enticed by one of the occupants to have sex with her in the bathroom. I didn't ... I was married at the time. I saw the devil there too...Big muscular bull looking man with horns and a ring in his nose. It may not have been heaven, actually. I may have been mistaken. I certainly went in as if it were.

I was still released, I never truly tried to control anything while there, and although the woman had me on the verge of cheating on my then wife, I didn't. Yeah, there were a couple more who enticed me near to that point. One innocent enough, but damn sexy. The other so direct, that she whispered in my ear how she could "make love to me so good right now". Exact words. For some people, I guess it may have been like heaven for them. It was a Haven, but hindsight has me second guessing my initial thought. I also remember white coats and people claiming to be doctors, others claiming to be nurses.

One of my most memorable psychotic hospitalizations. I was a mess. Sometimes, I still am. My hands still sweat sometimes. Some types have that effect on me. The coffee was great, by the way, and I enjoyed the company.

I didn't cheat. My hearts an open book. I can't even help it.
