Making excuses for the small numbers (neverminding that Obama was also super successful with us West coasters who made it to DC just fine, and not to mention more people flew to DC for the protest march than the Inauguration) is amusing but besides the point. The point is Spicer lying about it for no good reason. And if he's willing to lie about something as mundane as this, what does that say for Trump's administration interacting with the press in the future? It's just easier for people in the city to show up. If its like they say, and Trump supporters are primarily from outside the cities, that would make it more difficult for them to show up. I live close to DC and am very happy about Trump winning the election, but it never entered my mind to go to the inauguration because traffic is such a pain and I don't want to figure out how to get there via metro etc.
The turnout numbers are basically meaningless to me. Who cares, just get on with running the country.

It was quoted and cited in the OP.I didn't hear Spicer claim that Trump had a better turnout, just that they under reported Trumps turnout. But I haven't been paying attention to such trivial matters, maybe he did. Just waiting for Trump to fix everything Obama screwed up. I'll save my cheering for after. I don't even turn on the news anymore to listen to the sick twisted ilk they have for reporters.

People willfully being uninformed is certainly a good statement at how we arrived at Trump in the first place.
This is painfully consistent from Trump supporters. It's just easier for people in the city to show up. If its like they say, and Trump supporters are primarily from outside the cities, that would make it more difficult for them to show up. Make a thread about it. In the mean time, why don't we talk more about how Trump's administration is lying out their *** while their supporters blame the rest of the media (which they admit to not even watching), who are actually reporting the facts correctly? Then, when this is pointed out, said supporters try to deflect to other topics.I caught the report that Obama bombed Libya his last day in office. You hear about that? What was that all about?
Yes, right. Stop being sore losers...This is painfully consistent from Trump supporters.
Trump & Co tell a big lie. First his supporters deny that it's a lie. Then, when that fails, they say it doesn't matter.
Usually followed by, "Trump won the election. Stop being a sore loser!"

Women love stupid **** like getting dressed up in pink and having a parade. It didn't surprise me at all. Me, I like fishing.Make a thread about it. Let's just give Trump a chance.
What else is there to do?

He hasn't been doing very well, and his cabinet appointments are starting to show he's off to a bad start.Let's just give Trump a chance.
This is your fifth post on this thread.
Clearly, YOU care.
Edit: You're up to nine.
That is an excellent response. The turnout numbers don't matter to me either. It's just easier for people in the city to show up. But apparently, the numbers matter a great deal to the Trump administration. Apparently, the numbers are so important to them that they are willing to lie about them. And if they are willing to lie about this, if they are going to lie just to give the appearance of popularity, what will they not lie about?
I care that people care. If nobody showed up at the inauguration it wouldn't matter to me a bit, except that people make such a big deal out of it seems sort of high schoolish, even childish, which lowers my respect for them. And I do want to think we are a great and strong nation, Not a bunch of pink clad whining women.
We aren't talking about criticism. We are talking about saying false things, and knowing it.From what I've seen of Trump he usually has a good reason and doesn't hold back criticism.
Was you fifth post a lie? Why would you claim that you don't care when you clearly do?
Edit: Eleven posts!!

Yes, Trump does have good reasons for doing that. The truth about him is ugly. Doubtless that is why he lied about his tax returns.
This is not anything new. Trumps willingness and need to lie is obvious to those of us who care more about this country than partisan politics.
