I do see why others throw those labels around so much

I have and will continue to take my stand that homosexuality is indeed dangerous to civilization in that it is not innate. It is a practice that is taught or entered in by choice. Legalizing it would promote it and teach our children's children that it is normal therefore increasing the numbers who opt for that lifestyle which in turn would decrease the number of heteros and birth rates would drop. Our future generations will become smaller and smaller.

Because you use the code words and imploy the thinking of those that do fear and/or hate homosexuals. If it quacks like a duck......

I promise you this; Every thread that deals with homosexuality and whether its right or wrong, I will take my stand that homosexuality is indeed wrong. I have "religious" reasons. I have secular reasons. My "right" is to speak and take my stance. Do I think the persons who engage in that lifestyle are wicked people? No. Do I fear those people? No. I really don't care if everyone in the world is homosexual. I don't even care if some time down the road I choose to become homosexual. What I am saying, religiously, is that God's will for humans is to be heterosexual. In my secular reasons, there is the theory that if we teach homosexuality as being "right", more people will enter in that lifestyle thus reaping lower and lower birth rates, generation after generation. So how am I being "hateful" or "fearful"? I would like to know by what power do you think you make a righteous judgement that someone is hateful or fearful? Can you read what's in the hearts of humans? Why are the most sacastic statements against homosexuality actually coming out of the posts by supporters for it? Why can't I just say "no" without being called a bigot or a hater or one full of fear? Or punished for taking my stance via stealing my frubals on a POLL? It's ironic how most here preach about "rights" but slam, attack, label, and make fun of those who express the same "right" to cast their vote.

True Blood, in the first place, I personally don't think anyone should give you negative frubals just because they disagree with you. Freedom of expression should be a core value, respected by all.

In the second place, I wonder what evidence you have for your belief that homosexuality is a choice? Is that simply an assumption of yours, or are you privy to some science on the subject that I've never seen?

I don't think people should give negative frubals to true blood, either. I disagree with him, but I don't think that he's hateful or fearful.

I *still* don't see how a reduction in the population is a bad thing (if in fact more people "became" homosexual, which I don't believe will happen). Less people is a good thing. Less taxing on the earth.

Here is a secular reason for banning gay marriage.
Political advantage.
By placing anti gay marriage amendments on several state ballots, conservatives were able to mobilize a large voting block ( homo-phobs and religionists ) and get them out to the polls where they would also vote for other conservative issues and candidates. It was strategy, plain and simple.
