Seeker Storyteller

Luke Morningstar

Mourning Stalker
I'm Luke, I live in the western USA.

I've tried the variety and instead of picking a favorite, I picked them all. I just like stories about truth wrapped in pretty lies. I think each person chooses their own path, but that doesn't mean we can't keep in touch and tell each other our stories. I've never left the trade feeling cheated... unless I wanted to.

What kind of stories do you tell?

Usually mythological realist mixed with my own compassion and reason focused devotion. Things like a blue collar dragon and his human buddy at a bar philosophizing about marriage. Or a poem seeking a response from God.

Sometimes I can't tell if I'm writing non-fiction or fiction, until I realized that words and language are already a fiction of the truth. If I say "beautiful day" we both might imagine a thing built from our real experiences, but the thing we imagine will probably be very different. Does it matter if I was describing a real beautiful day accurately or does it matter that we connected to a shared experience and understanding based in truth?

Hey, L. You're telling a story now, aren't you?

Oh, yeah. Abso-freaking-lutely. Earlier this year I decided, "I can keep pretending I'm not living a story, or I can just embrace it."

I made my choice, and it's been fantastic. I live them, I create them, I worship them. I'm looking forward to getting to know you, BSM1.
