Sen. Richard Black: The decision for war was made in US

Note: this is not in debate section, but in current events. I found it useful to watch, hence I decided to share it, though it's a quite long video (48min). First few minutes were interesting enough for me to keep watching

This gives some inside information about the war in Ukraine that mainstream media does not share with us

Russia (Putin) has been painted as the bad guy by mainstream media, while according to this US senator that is not true. Now it seems that the US, dollar, is losing and Russia, roebel, is winning. And now it would be better for the US to try to end the war the Senator says.

Sen. Richard Black: The decision for war was made in US, the decision to attack was made in Russia

He is correct that wartime rape is natural.
Of course, we should still prevent it.

Technically true, but less true than everything else soldiers are trained to do that is unnatural, including running into danger, and making their beds with those weird-arse corners. Suffice to say, his commentary on it lacked the nuance you are alluding to, and made the army sound like a frat-house.
The article also includes his view that marital rape cannot occur by definition.

I'm not sitting through a 48 minute video to hear his opinions.

Paying attention to a single senator is totally counter-productive. I pay zero attention to gaslighters like this guy who tries to convince people orange is green.

Given that he's lying because Russia attacked Ukraine trying take over the country is truth. I wonder how much Russia is paying him under the table to weaken support for Ukraine which is fighting for its life against an expansionist dictator who wants to bring back the Soviet Union's empire.

Love is natural and human and dignified
Rape is done by humans lacking Love

I agree, we should prevent it

My idea:
First create a rape free army
Next allow women to join the army
(You don't put sheep with hungry tigres)

Soldiers must be trained to become less sensitive...otherwise how can they ever kill other humans? And I have heard many incidents that soldiers were humiliated and belittled in the training, obviously done to make them more insensitive and less in contact with their feelings

A natural consequence is, that they believe they "own" other people, and even have the right to kill them, if needed innocent people can be killed too. Rape is in their eyes not bad, compared to killing

Knowing all this, I refused joining the army

Fair enough

Still, having read your article, IMO, he is right about what he said about Russia

Time will tell, if my intuition is wrong, as truth will always emerge as the winner

Well...this individual used to say these things 8 years ago. Eight.
He has been very patient. Preparing a conflict by funding it.

Yes, that would be quite enough to stop me, too. Even though married, I no more "own" any part of my partner than I own Alaska. What we can't agree to do together, we are not going to do together.
I agree

My first thought, reading your words, were "what would 'he' say that 'owns' Alaska"?

US owns Alaska

With a stroke of a pen, Tsar Alexander II had ceded Alaska, his country's last remaining foothold in North America, to the United States for US$7.2 million.

One suspects the Russians are better at it than most too, given what happened at the end of WWII to a large number of German women AND children.

Thank you, the first reply on topic

You are the first who takes info unbiased to the Senators remarks a decade ago...but you are a lawyer, that's what lawyers are good at, right?

Thank you for sharing the short video. Soros indeed warned us long ago, as did Putin many, many times. The West never listened. Imagine what US would do if suddenly near its borders comes such a threat, as NATO shifting more to the East (against promises they made to not do that), poses for Putin

I get the feeling that the Senator is spot on with his assessment that US seems to steer towards upsetting Russia, instead of stabilizing the relations, what they should do. US is too much into fearmongering IMO, on many levels. Understandable, as fear makes it easier to steer your voters, but an Adharmic strategy

With that video, I meant this:
A tragic individual says "old Ukraine is still there", meaning that it has to go. In 2014.

Throughout all these years, Russians in Ukraine have been harassed.
To provoke Putin.
That is the old Ukraine that needed to go according him.

"Putin has been painted as the bad guy by the mainstream media", eh?

So his track record of locking up, or killing, political opponents and his annexation of Crimea are fine, really? Is that what you think?

Thank you. That indeed is the reason Putin said he started this operation, to help these Russians

I just saw other video of Soros, in which was said that he said "the only way to avoid WW3 is to defeat Putin", and in below video he says that the West should be grateful to the Ukraine, because they fight the fight of US and the West. And here he is positive about US, NATO and Europe

Soros also has some good news for Europe, that Russia has to give gas to Europe soon, because it can't store their gas in Russia anymore, starting from July. Here in Holland the news was already speaking that we were going to get a very cold winter due to "no gas"
Soros explains this by answering a question from the German reporter from "der Spiegel" (at 17:42 onward a few minutes)

No, what Putin does is not fine at all. It's very bad
And I think we don't know half of the bad stuff he has done

As well that we don't know half of the bad stuff the US, Europe, China have done.

The greediness of the very rich elite is the cause of all this trouble. Normal citizens don't want war, they just want peace

But alas, we live in Kali Yuga, according to the Vedas, and it will last quite a few years more. I don't hold my breath till "there is Peace on Earth"

Russia actually dispute that, even though they sold it to the USA.
They (Putin) want all their old territories back.
Ukraine is just the start of it.
