Seven percent of Americans believe chocolate milk comes from brown cows.

Sedim Haba

Outa here... bye-bye!
The survey may have been poorly designed.

A question like this would tempt me to put the wrong answer down. You give me a survey asking if I think that chocolate milk from brown cows, and I might think your survey is insulting me. It would need three things. First it would need for me to be motivated to be honest. Secondly it would need a scale that measured how honest I was. Third it would need a scale that measured how badly I wanted to crack jokes, because that question about brown cows is just like an itch that begs for scratching.

On the other hand yes some people may believe that chocolate milk comes from brown cows, but the survey could easily have +- 14% error if its asking these kinds of questions.

Ya, if anon I'd definitely say yes, AND answer every remaining question as stupid as possible.

WHO decided to put something this stupid in a real survey? What's the next question,
"Is the moon made of cheese?"

I almost put this in the jokes thread but... Evidently there was a little survey done on it o_O
From Sept 2019......

"According to a recent survey, seven percent of Americans believe chocolate milk comes from brown cows.

The survey was conducted by the Innovation Center of US Dairy in April. 1,000 adults 18 and over were asked questions about the role milk plays in their daily lives, Food & Wine reported.

The study found 48% of respondents weren’t sure where chocolate milk came from. Seven percent thought chocolate milk only comes from brown cows.

That adds up to about 16.4 million people, more than the population of Ohio.

The Washington Post linked the study to past studies that consistently show many Americans have no idea where their food comes from. For example, a study in the 1990s found that nearly 20% of people did not know hamburgers are made from beef."

That's just plain sad.

One thing I do know, we had a bunch of school youth come to our house to make pizza... they didn't know what a green pepper looked like or that corn came on a cob.

(They were accustomed to just seeing frozen cut peppers and shucked frozen corn)
It leads me to believe these surveys come from inner city residents. Poorly educated, Poorly brought up.

Do you know Milka chocolate in the U. S. ? Their trademark color is purple, so they used to have a purple-and-white cow as a mascot, which was often shown in TV ads. When asked about the color of cows, quite a few kids said cows were purple.

So are you among those who believe the liberal elite traffic and torture children in order to drink their adrenochrome rich blood for some satanic rite?
Did you know that the prices of eggs in China is $20 a dozen? :)

I would also think this was a joke, if I haven't met so many people that are... well, on that intellectual level that they might think chocolate milk comes from brown cows...

7% seems reasonable.

I saw how shockingly wasteful Red Gold is in getting tomatoes to their plant. Seriously, they didn't cover them or anything and tons of tomatoes fell off the trucks on the s-curve on the way to Elwood (legit bad town. I wouldn't want to do business with anyone there because in that town the Klan is still active and there's a good chance the owner is racist).

Yup. It's so "conservative" here that all the produce is secured before shipping. They actually take time to consider things like that. These durned blue blooded liberals progressing to more progressive shipping means. I tell yeah.
But the moon here tends to have a halo from the smog. Halo oranges come from here, and are called Halo. I'll let that speak for itself.
But Steve Perry's birth blessed the land of Hanford, enabling the cows to live on a land that provides magical nutrients amd produce the delicious milk I've ever had and I can fill my belly with it and suffer none of the consequences I do with lesser milks (I need a lactaid pill for them). (I would totally volunteer at a Steve Perry/Journey museum if Hanford opens one, and not mind the 20 minute drive to get there).
