This whole discussion goes to a different level if we actually achieve AI. So, what if those bots actually are conscious and have feelings? Does that make it more or less cool?

AI changes everything ... I, as a libertarian freewill dude/dudette. Tend to think in terms of choice.

If bots ever become conscious then choice becomes all ...
