Should a child love its parents no matter what?

That is refering to the reincarnation. Before the soul reincarnates, it choses its life experiences to live, including what type of parents to have.
Then it would hold true that some souls voluntarily chose to be born of abusive parents. Does the soul gain knowledge or a higher level of existence by voluntarily choosing an existence of pain, torture, and death?

Further, could a soul choose to be born of parents that provides a life of ease and luxury time after time?

It all depends on what the souls' purpose is. They will chose the best parents and situations to provide them with what they need for their 'earth lesson'. And yes, their enlightenment depends on being able to over come their adverse situations. But see, those who have abusive parents had much higher goals than say someone like me who chose pretty easy parents.

And I am not saying it is the victims 'fault'. I am saying that our life's lessons are not about what happens to you, it's about how you react.

They do tend to . The name of God on the lips of every child is Mother . All Love is unconditional . It isn't until we attach other emotions , wants , and needs to it that " love " becomes conditional .

No one can truely answer this, inless you are the individual at hand.
I grew up in a very close knit home, but, upon moving out and going on on my own, my estranged mother became very hard toward me. My father done us wrong years before and continues to get 'slaps' at us. The kids in our family have been hurt beyond repair. Our parents are too self centered to admit their wrongs. Mother judges everyone as if she is up Christ's arse.
If asked if I loved my parents...no.
After years of this b/s and growing up with a wife and kids...I have waxed cold.
I don't need it in my life. Parents may have had sex and ended up with me as a child, doesn't mean I owe them s***.
