Should a Saiva carry Trishul with Pride?

Yeah, sometimes you get what you pay for. :(

Yet, I have a 3-4 mm rudraksha mala, which I never used for japa, so it's OK to wear. The tassle has long since disintegrated, so it's really just a set of neck beads. The single rudraksha I have is attached to the mala exactly opposite the guru bead. It makes a nice pendant and seems to be tough, but I have not worn it in a while. I was wearing the tulsi and rudraksha together (Harihara devotee).

Where did you get yours from?

The tulsi from 2 different places... 2 from KrishnaStore.com and one from an eBay seller. The rudrakshas came from Rudra Centre.

It use to be an American tradition to storm Washington with pitchfork in hand in the face of such massive corruption. I believe instructions for such pitchfork militias used to be in the Farmers Almanac.

Which mentioning pitchfork, sort of reminds me of the trishul. Perhaps American Hindus should revive the pitchfork tradition by storming Washington with trishul in hand in the face of the massive corruption in Washington and massive borrowing of money from China. Pretty soon China will own the entire America with a massive debt like a big fat monkey on the back of the children of the next generations, another downside is that if the trishul catches on with a lot of Americans as I predict it would if and when there is exposure of it to their consciousness, such tridents would be mass produced by slave bots in China and unless you get it from India or make it yourself (do you have to buy carbon credits if you want to run a blacksmith in your backyard? ), likely the trishul will be stamped with "Made in China".

So far, no luck finding a trishul, however I did find Poseidon tridents for sale at various online sword shops, which doesn't look bad and approximates a trishul (80 bucks):

It might be difficult to form a trishul militia for vegie picnics if members cannot get their own trishul. But such is what dreams are made of. It was once unimaginable that Jaganath Carts would come rolling down Main Street USA, but today it's mainstream in many major cities all over the city on the hill, and in another couple decades fully expect the possibility of a Happy Jaganath Cart as part of the Disney Parade in Disneyland, though that could be irreligious. I dream of the day when 300 brave trishul Hindus march down main street.

By the way, I buy my Rudrakshas from:

Speaking of Rudrakshas mine broke yesterday :(

It's about quality. Creating malas and even picking rudrakshas of high quality is a complicated process. there is a lot more to work wise it that one might expect. A few weeks back I got involved in the process. I was drilling the beads, and the dryer ones tended to split.

That's what I'm realizing from this thread. The next time I do buy one I'll buy a quality one, regardless of if it is expensive.

In India, you can find them near temples, and at relatively cheap prices (paying $80 for one would be a crime; you would have to pay more like $20-$30 max for a steel one that's authentic).

Eh, I don't think I would. I personally don't see the need to.

I think most people would think I'm trying to be King Triton from The Little Mermaid. :D
