Should atheists offer something more than disbelief?

No I don't think atheists need to give evidence of disbelief since they don't seem to see any evidence to believe. I kinda don't even like the term atheist. It is term describing a disbelief in something that likely doesn't exist. As if the word describes a disbelief from the perspective that some deity actually exists. Is there a word to describe not believing in things that don't exist?

Yes, "sane."

It also describes believing in things that exist.

It wouldn't be a replacement fantasy. It would just be an optimistic and spiritual interpretation of naturalism. By 'spiritual' I mean a profound sense of connection to something greater than the self.
Again, this sort of thing is masturbatory and self aggrandizing. Why do you need to interpret nature through your spiritual glasses? Why interpret nature at all? nature doesn't need you to validate itself. Maybe you find some comfort in thinking you are a part of something greater than yourself, but the earth and nature isn't a living thinking being that will a damn about you or your existence. I accept that I am a part of nature and wonder how it all came to be, but there is no need to create a spirituality around it. It is perfectly reasonable that I came about as a result of natural phenomena. There is just no need to elevate nature into a sort of pseudo deity/spirit.
