Should Believers Avoid and Fear Athiest?

Well that is until the universe is sucked into a black hole, in which case the universe as we know it is no longer propelling from our perspective.
And maybe that black hole causes a rebounce into another dimension for another universe. everything is plausible.

I have observed, that a christian very often attracts a great multitude of people who are ready to pounce on them.

Can we avoid them? Well we dont have to.

Should we avoid them? Hell no.

Can they ignore us...yes.

Atheists can smell fear...he he...

In most cases we Atheist primarily engage in religious discussion or debates on forums such asd this one. Few will hold discussions or debates in public. For the most part we could care less about the religious in this world. We simply don't believe in gods. It's without a doubt that a lot of atheist come from religious backgrounds and there are some us who grew up never believing. Religion is a subject that is most fascinating but delicate at the same time. As Atheist we should respect any and all religions. We don't have to agree. We are free to scrutanize and criticise but in the end we should never disrespect people or what they believe, no matter how illogical it appears. Do we smell fear? Nope. We smell insecurity in a person regarding ones "faith". IMO that insecurity leads to confrontation.

Insecurity can also lead to cringing with fear and hiding in the corner.

Consider the influence an theistic opinion might have on a religious person or likewise. Are you comfortable in defending your position? What tools do believers have to defend the concept of God compared to the atheist's tools to defend his reasons for not believing in God?

I think there is nothing wrong of being with some atheists. And I think we should not avoid them or fear them, I mean why should we do that?Having different beliefs doesn't mean that we cannot befriend people of different relgions or even atheists I feel comfortable of depending my position, ofcourse and as a believer, I use the Bible and my experiences to defend my side. It's up to them if they will accept it or not. I simply don't push my beliefs if they don't believe it ,but ofcourse, they have a chance to think about our beliefs in God.

You might be right...:)

I also think that if they truly believed what they spout and regurgitate then it should be no shock to them when their ideology is challenged, and scrutinized under a microscope....We're not physical with them so why are they afraid? What do we have over them that would make them fear us?

Well i think that the spouting and the regurgitate thing must be uncomfortable for atheists and others alike. Nobody likes to be spat on or regurgitated on. If being spat on and regurgitated on, prompts atheists to put that stuff under a microscope id think they really want to investigate it rather upclose. Perhaps because they are not so sure that they are right, and the spatters are wrong.

Personally i dont fear an atheist....um...i dont put them under a microscope either. Their company is great, until god comes into the picture, in which case the friendship is placed under a microscope and trust flies out the window.

the believers have their believe(something you think and sometimes want to be true) and atheists have their logic that the odds are there is no GOD as any religion puts it. It is clear that this Universe is self propeling, it has no need for a 'god'. As much as a creator can be eternal, the universe in its various forms could be eternal. Their premise is the facts that point to a universe that is self propeling, your premise is the fact that you can't see how the universe could have always existed but then contradict thy self by believing that a 'creator' always did.

" It is clear that this Universe is self propelling." I might have expected to hear that 300 years ago but not since Hubble ( the man) discovered the expansion of the universe in the late 1920 s. Through his discovery and the laws of physics, the Big Bang is the currently accepted theory and has totally debunked a previously held but popular theory that the universe has always existed. What that means for those who don't "get it" is that the Universe was CREATED. Sheeeesh.
