Should Christians Keep The Sabbath?

This is the heart of the matter in our relationship with God, should Christians Keep The Sabbath? Did God make the Seventh-Day for all mankind?

Scripture tells us that Jesus Christ is “Lord even of the Sabbath day” as the Creator. Jesus said,“For the Son of Man is Lord even of the Sabbath day.” Matthew 12:8. By identifying Himself as “Lord even of the Sabbath day,” Jesus was showing that He was the One who originally created Earth in six days, and rested on the seventh day. And the New Testament makes clear that Jesus is the Creator...

"All things were made by Him, and without Him was not anything made that has been made." John 1:3
"He [Jesus] was in the world, and the world was made by Him, and the world knew Him not". John 1:10
"God, who created all things by Jesus Christ." Eph. 3:9
"For by Him [Jesus] all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him." Col. 1:16

So scripture makes clear Jesus Christ is our Creator and also gave us the Sabbath for man not just the Jews.
"And he said unto them, The sabbath was made for man, and not man for the sabbath:"Mark 2:27

Not only did Jesus create the Sabbath but He makes clear it was the seventh day and Holy...
"For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it." Exodus 20:11

How should a believer relate to his God and his Maker? It would seem that the simple and reasonable response to such an inquiry would be “with unquestioning obedience.” Does not our Creator God deserve to be obeyed? Who would suggest that it would be acceptable for the one made to dishonor and disobey the One Who has given life?

Yes. I believe that Christians should keep the Sabbath. I have researched this and found that Sabbath keeping is what God wants.

The Sabbath in the significance is indeed a resource as well as fundamental belief.
Is not a day filled with the light & captureing the ways to see?
In the designs of it the time of rest is found when the sun sets & we consider the day.
To support the sabbath is a world full of understanding & supporting the ways.
My great grandmother was Seven day Adventice. It was not without here to speak of it's importance!

Hi Seyorni, That may answer for some things, And certainly the Sabbath day has been made long enough----Since the Seventh Day of Creation Week. It was Made by the Creator of all things one sees about himself.(And it was made for mankind--in convocating with the Creator GOD.(Lev.23:1-3)
The Sabbath Day was never changed by the Creator GOD, but was "thought to be changed" in the conucils of men by decrees of men.
