The U.S. is indeed heavily capitalistic and money-driven, but make no mistake: try living in an undemocratic third-world country as a citizen and you'll probably treasure the freedom that you have in the U.S. to sue your state, government, etc.

True, although I can't help but wonder how much of the money, wealth, and the luxury of "freedom" in the U.S. has come at the expense and suffering of many of the third-world countries you mention.

If we were a nation of Buddhist monks there would be vastly more agreement of the right thing to do as a moral society, and fewer disputes for bad reasons.

And once again we commit the fallacy of conflating capitalist hierarchies with democracy and participatory government.

Sheesh, I can’t win.

Oh wait, my lawyer tells me we have a good case against We Never Know, for starting this thread.
He knows. My lawyer just contacted his. And their lawyer contacted my lawyer's lawyer.

The judge in this case will be Judge Wapner, who is coming out of retirement.
