The past couple of years, I’ve been trying to appreciate the fact that we are in an Information Age. Sure, there is definitely an over saturation of information. As believers, however, we can look to see what is available to us.
Sacred texts from various manifestations of God are no longer culture/region locked. For most of mankind’s history, a single individual did not have access to pretty much every single text from every manifestation of God.
The Baha’i faith has a symbol of a nine pointed star representing 9 religions recognized. The star represents: Hinduism, Buddhism, Zoroastrianism, Christianity, Judaism, Islam, Sabaean religion, Babism, and Baha’i.
I can access texts from all these religions, as well as every other religion.
God has made available to us all of the information we need. Comparative religion was not possible until the 20th century. That means, all the time before that, information was region locked.
It is truly a blessed age we live in. I always thought that the fact that we had access to all the information was extremely significant and had deep implications. The Baha’i faith has taught me that we are indeed in a new age.
What are some other signs of the new age, you guys think? Do you guys think that access to all of the sacred texts is a proof of the new age? We can use these texts to unify the world under a single world order, right? What’s required is to connect all the dots that these texts provide, and we will have a full set of instructions.

I never really thought if that aspect of the information age, but that is a good point. Now that we have access to all the sacred texts online people can research just about anything. Nowadays, if people are really seeking the truth it is at their fingertips.

According to Baha'i teachings every age in which a new Manifestation of God appears is designated as the Day of God, but this Day is unique because in this Day is the new age, when all the prophecies of past religions will be fulfilled. Those will be the signs of this new age and if we look in all the sacred scriptures we can already see some of those signs, although many are yet to come since this age will continue into the future.

“It is evident that every age in which a Manifestation of God hath lived is divinely ordained, and may, in a sense, be characterized as God’s appointed Day. This Day, however, is unique, and is to be distinguished from those that have preceded it. The designation “Seal of the Prophets” fully revealeth its high station. The Prophetic Cycle hath, verily, ended. The Eternal Truth is now come. He hath lifted up the Ensign of Power, and is now shedding upon the world the unclouded splendor of His Revelation.”

Yes indeed this is one of many signs that was released upon the declaration of the Bab on May 23rd 1844 a couple of hours after sunset.

It is said that knowledge is of 27 letters and all that had been released up to that declaration was only 2 letters, the Bab opened the door to all the other 25 letters of knowledge. Shoghi Effendi foretold us of a worldwide method of communication.

A big significance for this year is that it is the 100th anniversary of the passing of Abdu'lbaha, the greatest servant of Baha and our given example of a perfect life, who was born on the very night of that declaration.

This shows us how our full potential was also released on that night, a result of the Dawn of a New World Order and Shoghi Effendi painted the picture what that means for each individual Baha'i.

"Not by the force of numbers, not by the mere exposition of a set of new and noble principles, not by an organized campaign of teaching -- no matter how worldwide and elaborate in its character -- not even by the staunchness of our faith or the exaltation of our enthusiasm, can we ultimately hope to vindicate in the eyes of a critical and sceptical age the supreme claim of the Bahá Revelation. One thing and only one thing will unfailingly and alone secure the undoubted triumph of this sacred Cause, namely, the extent to which our own inner life and private character mirror forth in their manifold aspects the splendor of those eternal principles proclaimed by Bahá’u’lláh."

Shoghi Effendi, Bahá’í Administration, p. 66

That power of our ability to change, to strive to reflect the light of the Oneness of Humanity and the Oneness of God, has to be the greatest proof of a divine message.

Is not the object of every Revelation to effect a transformation in the whole character of mankind, a transformation that shall manifest itself, both outwardly and inwardly, that shall affect both its inner life and external conditions? For if the character of mankind be not changed, the futility of God's universal Manifestation would be apparent.

Does not sound very blessed to me that many are starving and in hostile situations while athletes are signing hundreds of millions of dollar contracts. One example of many.

Many have given their minds and bodies almost entirely over to the control of others. Can’t think or speak for themselves. The “Blab said......” “The bible says....” “So and so said.......” Same redundant new world order of psychological control and parrotism.

Many are trying to unite a compilation of dogma’s onto everyone else and enabling it all by thinking these religions are all so peaceful and have yielded great fruit under the same absurd ideologies of “god.”

Narcissistic control freaks trying to mold and tightly fit everyone into their image.

I believe a new world order was promised and already supposed to be here a long time by the Baha’i Faith - but was simply just a scheme and ploy to milk as much $ as can from its followers to fund this new regime.

Good morning from Australia, I hope all is well and happy in your part of the world.

My profession in my youth was professional golf and I agree far to much money in professional sports, yet we can change for the better, it is up to each individual. There are many that do much good with the money they earn though, so let us not condemn the good they do.

The world order talked about by the Baha'i is not a domination of greedy power hungry men, but of a unity of soul and purpose for the love and good of all humanity.

That new world order is here and working and now the world will face the need to implement that change.

I hope they allow your post in the Baha'i DIR, I see all input is useful to create dialogue for that change.

Peace and Love to all.

Definitely agree with you Xavier. It is an incredible time to live. The more people that join this new age; through study, knowledge, and understanding; the better. Many though, will fight against newfound wisdom, and fight against change.

Someone had a thread on another forum on “unity”.

I will post my response to that, here (modified slighty to accommodate this thread):

“And unity is possible ONLY between those people who have the truth within them.

Truth is absolute.

Truth doesn’t change.

All who know truth are in unity.

Un unity shows that truth is missing.

It’s possible in this world, but not easy, to obtain unity.

But not possible, when dogma trumps truth.”

The great thing about the Message of Baha'u'llah is that it shows us that in our human condition, that Truth is Relative and not absolute.

As such we can obtain a unity in our diversity.

The Absolute Truth belongs to God and the attributes of that Truth is given via the Holy Spirit to all the Messengers and then defined by the Messengers relative to our nature and nurture and capacity of Soul, but none of those attributes can define God.

All we can know of God is what the Messengers have shown us and told us about God. All praise of God goes through these Manifestations of God.

There is much written on this now and that is an example of this OP, there is no limit to the knowledge we can now open up, providing we are able to open new frames of references.

Peace and Love to all, always.

Thanks for that response.

It’s quite an eye opener.

Let me elaborate a tiny bit on my post which you responded to:

I don’t believe that ANY religion has a lock on the truth. Truth is available to anyone, any where.

I do not equate truth with religion.
Some religions and some religious folks think they have the truth, but on closer examination it may be far far from it.

The Baha’i faith has taught me that we are indeed in a new age.

Baha'is do accept that God is one and all the major religions have had one spiritual Source:

"The principle of the unity of religion is at the center of Baha’i teachings. Bahá’u’lláh states that humanity is engaged in a collective growth process quite similar to the growth process of an individual: just as a person begins life as a helpless infant and attains maturity in successive stages, so humankind began its collective social life in a primitive state, gradually attaining maturity. In the case of the individual, it is clear that his or her development takes place as a result of the education he or she receives from parents, teachers, and society in general.

"But what is the motive force in humankind’s collective evolution? The answer the Bahá’í Faith provides to this question is “revealed religion.” In one of His major works, the Kitab-i-Iqan (the Book of Certitude), Bahá’u’lláh explained that God, the Creator, has intervened and will continue to intervene in human history by means of chosen Messengers. These Messengers, Whom Bahá’u’lláh called “Manifestations of God ,” are principally the Founders of the major revealed religions, such as Abraham, Moses, Buddha, Zoroaster, Jesus, Muhammad, and so forth. It is the spirit released by the coming of these Manifestations, together with the influence of Their teachings and the social systems established by Their laws and precepts, that enable humankind to progress in its collective evolution. Simply put: the Manifestations of God are the chief educators of humanity. Thus the principle of the unity of religion means that all of the great religious Founders—the Manifestations—have come from God, and that all of the religious systems established by Them are part of a single divine plan directed by God.

"In reality, there is only one religion, the religion of God. This one religion is continually evolving, and each particular religious system represents a stage in the evolution of the whole."

I don't remember seeing all these people posting here who are not Baha'is. By the rules, this is not allowed. I guess since these posts were a month ago, it's too late to report this. The moderators are too busy to see everything. Xavier identified as a Baha'i at this date.
