According to my Mom, nothing makes a person feel old like hearing their kids complain about how old they are.

When, instead of simply pointing out the ridiculousness of it, you get angry over commercials that use skinny, 20-something models to advertise wrinkle cream and/or fitness/weight loss items to older women.

I just posted a "Goofus and Gallant" cartoon on another thread. I doubt anyone under 40 even knows what that is.

But the worst is, I've started springing gray eyebrows. Just one or two here and there, but can the mad scientist look be far off?

Hey, at least you can have lots of fun with a mad scientist look. :)

You find yourself saying and/or doing the very things your parent(s) did that alerted you to the fact they were getting old.

I remember toys with small parts.

Micronauts! These things were awesome. Die-cast metal action figures that you could snap together in different ways. They had little plastic spring loaded missiles that you could shoot out of their arms. That is until some dumb kid choked on one and they took them off the market.

In January 1935 ( my birth month) petrol was 7.3 pence per UK Gallon in today's money
When I started driving in 1956, petrol was 26.6 pence per UK gallon. in today's money

Today it is £4.99 per UK gallon

That is getting old for you.

Mind you in 1935 £4.99 was a good industrial wage for a 40 hour week.
