What's your favorite deity to worship.

Do you have statues set up around the house.

Do you believe the deities actually exist, or are they metaphor.

Have any deities ever "visited" you.

Hi there :)

How's your privacy level about telling your real name here on RF? (I like to call people by their first names. I think it is friendly)

What is your preferences in men, or your type? (if this sounds too personal, please ignore it, and I apologize)

Sorry for asking such questions. I have problem socializing with people in real life, so I find doing it online my alternative.

Hmm, I worship quite a few. I am bound to Shiva, but when it comes to worship, I love Ganesha. It's always a special joyous moment. He is smiling and forgiving if you make some mistakes. He is really cute, it's always a greater pleasure to worship Him for me, since I see Him very close, like a friend. It's always a party when you welcome a friend at home.

Yes, I have many ! But many are scattered around the house as decoration. They are different han the ones that are worshipped, which are all on the house altar.

Yes, I believe they actually exist, in one form or another.

Have any deities ever "visited" you.
Yes, it happened 3 times. The first was the one that lead me to Hinduism. I keep precious memories of those moments, they are very special and moving for me. They are the pillars of my faith to me.

Hi there :)

How's your privacy level about telling your real name here on RF? (I like to call people by their first names. I think it is friendly)
Well, I like to keep some privacy on the interwebz, but you know some people already know my name here, so... :D it's Tiffany

What is your references in men, or your type? (if this sounds too personal, please ignore it, and I apologize)
You mean, physical preferences ? Meh, I don't really pay attention to it to be honest. I'm not interested in going out with super b
eauticute guys if we don't have anything in common. I prefer normal guys (or womens) where I can geek with, watch anime while eating pizza, going out to have some fun etc...
It can be anyone, so, I donnt really have preferences. As long as we share stuff we have in common, I'm fine. Except for religion of course. We can have different religions, I won't mind. Ahah I guess my preference would be of the cool gamer type I guess xD

Sorry for asking such questions. I have problem socializing with people in real life, so I find doing it online my alternative.
No problem dude, think of it as a practice to rock IRL !

Cool. Good to meet you Tiffany, I'm Abdulelah (not Abdullah). Please call me Abdu (without L) instead of that 10 mile long name if you want to save time :D.

You said anime and games. What are your favorite genres?

Sorry, more questions

Hey, this interview thing seems like fun. I guess I'll put myself up for interroga.. I mean interviewing :D

Mmmh I play all genres without problem. I enjoy as much strategy games, beat em all, rpgs... My personal preference are rpg. Only genre I don't really like is sport games. Usually I have no idea what's going on so I enjoy doing stupid stuff (the guardian have the ball ? HOW DARE YOU I'LL TACKLE THE CRAP OUT OF YOU) so people that play sports games with me hate me while I am having a blast. I'm a sport games psychopath. Sorry.

Don't have a specific genre for anime, I'm curious of everything. Just finished watching monster, enjoying weird stuff like Mononoke and Sayonara zetsubou sensei... Also ben-to
This anime is sooo funny xD
... ok also other anime stuff that I should not mention on a public place

Why do you apologize ? This thread is for that !

Disciple bumped my question off the page :(

Sorry I didn't see it :I

It's complicated. Or not. I don't really know. I didn't know anything about Hinduism, nothing. Then suddenly got what we can call a very intense experience. I haf to meet someone I didn't know at all in India. I though "wtf yeah riiiight" and then some months later, my aunt who never saw me or talked to me in years ask me if I want to go in India with her. I didn't wanted to go. But remembered the whole thing that happened months before and I decided to go. The first place we went to was a very old temple, and this is where I recognized the man who told me to meet him. I formally met Shiva in India, like it was predicted. I think from this day, I've become bound to him. Even if I'm tryingto run aay from Him, He is still there. I had others experiences like that, and all "accomplished themselves" in one way or another.

So... In truth I didn't choose my religion, I didn't choose a God. They just came to me. I don't know why or how, maybe I was Hindu in my life before ? I donnt know, but what is important to me is that I don't regret a single bit anything :) I am very happy with my religion, and constantly learning. I enjoy also not to have some kind of duty to impose or prove stuff to others. It seriously taught me to be open to diversity and respect others religions

You are forgiven!

That's very cool :)

You know, I've read a lot of people saying they've actually had experiences of the devas even when they didn't totally believe in them. I've also actually experienced them, but not quite to the degree you have mentioned. Shiva has called me for a long time. There's definitely something special about the devas, whatever they are exactly.

I think sports games suck too. I specially hate football. I JUST HATE IT... oops, sorry.

Please forgive my ignorance and denseness, but what do you mean other anime stuff not to mention in public? I don't get it!

No wait, I'm just kidding. Please ignore that :D

Ehm...

Okay, now I'm crushing on you! :blowkiss: :p

And the bolded, you're naughty!

Hmm a question, have you travelled much? Which are your favourite places in the world (can be a country or just something simple, like cocooned up in blankets)?

Truuuuuuue dat :clap
I think those kind of experiences are great, because they are personal. The fact that they are personal really make them deep and meaningful to you, and you have the choice to ignore it or answer it. There is nothing to "prove" to anybody or to really "believe". Your own experience of things is the real journey, in the end.

And the bolded, you're naughty!
Hard to imagine maybe, but yeah, guilty mdam ! :D

Hmm a question, have you travelled much? Which are your favourite places in the world (can be a country or just something simple, like cocooned up in blankets)?
I've been to many places around the world, but at the same time not enough. Spain, Egypt, Croatia, India, USA, Canada etc... But I want to travel MOAR because I love learning and meeting new people, and I am lucky to be able to adapt very fast and well to a foreign culture. I would not describe myself as "french" but more of a earth inhabitant.

* do you participate on any other Hindu or religious forums?

Used to, not anymore. Good ones are hard to find, and RF is my one and true love :D

* you mentioned community, what does that mean? A temple?
Not necessarily a temple, because here there are a few. I think 3 or 4 in the whole country. Maybe a little more, hidden away to the public. But where there are Hindus, there are Hinduism, even without a temple. Often for big festivals or occasions celebrations are made in someone's place. It's more like a gathering of Hindu people where I can go, worship, and get along with like minded people. I feel really lonely since my return from India... There I had my local little street mandir, and all the friends ...

* have you ever tried playing caroms at a club or street, or play chess on the street at one of those public places with others?

No, but that's seems funny :0
I mean uh... I don't know how to play chess :D

* do you get woken up very early in the morning with the Muslim call to prayer like I do when I am in Chowringhee (Kolkata)?

You mean, when I was in Mumbai ? Surprisingly nope ! I was living just a street away from a mosque, but I never heard the call to prayer early in the morning. When I was coming back from work in the evening, I used to sit at the window and have some tea with parle-g while listening to the prayer call. I find it melodious, but that depends on which one is singing it I guess xD
No call for prayer in france. I don't think it's even legal...

* do you chew pan masala?

I tried one.
One
:D

* do you know who Vittahla - Vithoba is? ... and have you met His devotees in Mumbai?
Ah yes ! Many devotees of Vittala come to the Ganesha mandirs there. He is even mentionned in SiddhiVinayak Aarti ! Jaya dev, jaya dev, jaya Paaaduraaanga...

* do you love Mumbadevi?
I haven't got the occasion to visit Her, but when I come back to Mumbai I'll certainly meet Her !

* do you often have poor asking for alms, food or rupees?
Yes, especially in the morning, when you take rickshaw to go to work. Where I lived, there was a whole community of poors living on the sideway, but seeing all the bottles of alcohol they were littering around, I quickly understood that giving them money won't help them at all, especially the childrens. So, I always carried food and stocked prasad for whenever a children, mother or Hijra were to come ask. The hijras living nearby were especially very nice when they realized we were not afraid of them like every indian there was xDD ahah

* do you wear tilak or vibhuti on your forehead? Or bindi?
Used to in India... Not in France.

* what is the best sweet in Mumbai?
SiddhiVinayak ladoo prasad

* do you ever get milk to drink?
ALWAYS  In france, or in the us, or in India, I'm addicted to milk. I love milk. Cow milk mainly, but I certainly enjoy Goat milk also *yum*

* if you get sick, do you have a doctor or clinic you go to?
In france ? yeah you call a doctor and get an appintement xD
In India I only went to the doctor once. I asked a friend where I could go, and turned on he just had got an appointement for a medical check up before going to Kadarnath, so he told me to go with him. That's how I got a doctor there :D

* are there Russian men following you?

*turn left*
*turn right*
.....

.......

I dunno, maybe they're invisible... Can you see them ... ?

(on a more serious note, I've seen Russian womens following Egyptian mens, it was so damn funny to watch ahah xD)

What's Brahman to you?

The undescriptible. For me it is the Highest, possessing all the qualities and yet devoid of qualities.

I cannot describe to you what is Brahman to me. It's impossible. I think the best answer is silence.

And who's Bhagavan Shiva?

My Lord ! I am bound to Him, there is no escape for my soul ! I'm drunk in Shiva, I drown in Shiva, if I try to run away from Him, He comes back to me and I come back to Him in a neverending circle... Shiva means everything to me. He is every bit of my suffering, and He is every bit of my joy. He is the life I embrace and He is also the death I'll encounter. There is nothing rejected, for me all is my Lord, everywhere, everything. The most painful things, they are Shiva to me, so I accept them. The most beautiful things, they are Shiva also to me, so I enjoy them. I cannot be anywhere else than in my Lord's arms, there is no question to that, for I can't get away. I am happy my soul can enjoy Shiva, then in one life maybe I will merge back into Shiva.

What particular sampradaya or philosophy to you follow? I think I had read somewhere that you follow Saiva Siddhantha? If so, what lead you to following this particular school?
