So then what?

LOL, been reading the Exit Mundi site. Although a lot of it is pure pants, straight out of a science fiction novel, some of it gives a different way of thinking about spirituality and what exactly, it is.
For instance, what my sig line is based on. When we reach heaven, or Oneness, or the end of THIS mortal project / life lesson / whatever you want to call the REASON for our existence, then what?
When we realise that we are immortal beings, what do we do then?
HOW can One live forever and not feel excruciating boredom because of it? Everything would get seen, everything would get done.
Then what?
Hope I'm not breaking any forum rules by posting the Exit Mundi link to which I am referring to, but here goes:

Astral, that is one of my thoughts too!

I prefer the idea of reincarnation to all the other beliefs about what happens after death. I get all giddy about the thought of being someone or something else and I just want to experience everything. This is just a dream, mind you; I don't know what happens to us after death-- I just hope it's reincarnation :)

But the problem with reincarnation is that the point is to have all these life-cycles come to an end, in Nirvana or Oneness or what-have-you. And I'm not particularly interested in that part. I'm sure if one were actually in a state of Nirvana one couldn't get bored. So it's not necessrily boredom that turns me off. It's more of the fact that I'm just so excited about life right now and I don't want to exchange it for something else until I'm good and ready. But then again, I suppose if you've made it to Nirvana, that means you were good and ready.

So maybe I don't have an argument against it at all. ::is confused:: :)

Well, my beliefs are a bit different, but I believe when the Becoming is complete (God reaches maturity) we will turn our attention outwards. I believe there's a whole new level of reality to explore, and at least one other Godiverse to interact with.

Simply: Live happily ever after. If we felt boredom, then our work wouldn't be finished, so still not Oneness/Heaven/End of Lesson/Whatever! Thinking we would be bored is because of how we are now.

LOL, thanks for your reply. I kind of get what you mean, but I feel that we're faced with one of two fates. Either we die and no more, or we live forever. I have yet to decide which is worse.

Hi there and welcome to the forum.

Kent, is such a beautiful place. Its called the garden of england.

Anyway..WHAT are we going to do next? What do you think deity is able to do?

This is such a good question. All this moving upwards, and growing spiritually and going back home and uniting with god, and then what?

If we knew the answer to 'then what' we would become inflated with pride no doubt. If we were able to see our glory we would fall again. We need humility to remain humble even though we are fearfully and wonderfully made.

If we look around us and we see the beauty and greatness of the universe and we understand that god made it, and you can do the same, can you imagine how many different types of universes and life forms there can be when we all get to create?. If we are conforming into the image of christ as a person, then one day we will have the ability to do what god does, which is create. But no doubt there will be many more things we could do.

Eternal bliss, seems wonderful to someone who hasnt had any or much bliss. But eternal bliss seems a tad boring to those who are satisfied already.

The word eternal makes it boring. Eternal doesnt mean the same thing for ever, eternal means forever ending and starting.

There is so much we can do in the kingdom of god we will hardly become bored. Boredom isnt something that we can feel in heaven, because bored means your not being satisfied.

But until we go back home, we are re-incarnated.

When harmony is achieved, I think consciousness changes, and we learn to forsake feelings like boredom, excitement, etc.

But I believe such things to be Mystery. Way I see it, we'll know when we get there.

And the end of the world is only three years away, anyway. :D
