So what’s so great about a Christian heaven?

God is infinite and so I think the joy of knowing Him and the depths of His love and discovering the endless beauties of eternity will also be infinite and wonderful. When I think of all the beauty of this earth even in its fallen, deteriorating state and walk in the forest, stand by the ocean, or view a sunset over mountain peaks I know these are only glimpses of the incredible beauty of the eternal realm. When I work in the garden I get physically tired, but still enjoy the beauty and variety of vegetables and flowers, knowing that the sweat of the brow and physical or mental exhaustion is a part of the curse of sin. In eternity all work will be pleasurable, creative, and rewarding with no tiredness. Now, there never seems to be enough time for the all things I’d like to do or the subjects I’d like to learn more about, but in eternity time will be not be a hindrance and new things to learn, discover, or do will be infinite. I’m sure there will be no time for being bored. God is an awesome artist who can’t help creating and God is love who can’t stop loving and I can hardly wait to be with Him for eternity.

And yet so many people you know will burn in hell... won't you feel sorrow for them? I've heard different answers to this but essentially people say that we won't feel saddened because they made the choice alone to burn in hell.

The thought of people I know or anyone for that matter being separated from the light, love, and Source of life, dwelling in loneliness with only themselves forever, apart from the Living water of Christ saddens me terribly. I don't know how that sadness will be eliminated in eternity, but I trust that God does know how and will bring about the perfect solution.

Universalism? As in they get to join everyone else in Heaven in the end as they truly see the errors of their ways and so they all get redeemed? Still would suck to burn for x years before that moment though.

are you going to tell child who is dying from starvation and thirst that their struggle is good? are you going to tell those that are persecuted, that struggle is good? of course not.

It is when there is nothing to struggle for that is bad.

With that in concession clearly and near in our minds then. "What's so great about a Christian Heaven"?

Just seems of interest, primarily I should think especially as concerns believers that may abandon all other pursuits to obtain that promised certainty of an everlasting existence in "paradise"...

But more pointedly to the evangelical aspects of Christian's "commanded" call to both preach the "Truth"and seek out the truly repentant to one day realize their promised salvation and the "reward" of "heaven"...It just might be more successful in gaining such results if the Christian travel agents would lend a bit more specificity and detail to support the sales pitch...

Not asking for testable evidences here, just some enhanced detail that seems to be lacking from the very source Christians cite as "the word of god".

Still waiting...and no longer entertained in playing dodge ball with apologists and near-sighted adherents that will not provide any available Scriptural support or acknowledgement of abject ignorance as to what is even remotely appealing conceptually or quotable about the "Christian Heaven"...

I am uneducated and have more faith than I know what to do with.

My point was forum posters keep on trying to prove something that can't be proved. And the other side keeps on asking for something that can't be done. That lovely lady (I did not think she was faithless) KNEW something that religious people just don't get. Spirit can't be proved. Because she knows that I thought her faith is mighty strong.

But even in your lent candor, I am left to wonder why the most pious of any christian sectarian affiliation adherents are then so often loathe to simply say..."I don't know".

The most ardent and vehement critics of scientific revelations and understanding today tend to be the most outspoken "deniers" and finger-pointers of the "uncertainties" inherent in any scientific conclusions borne of scientific methodologies.

One is left then to wonder upon what superior advantages are then to be found inherent within the "theories" of faith-based claims and beliefs?
