Your test scores indicate that you are an open-minded cultural centrist; this is the political profile one might associate with a protective parent. It appears that you are tolerant towards religion, and have a generally optimistic attitude towards humanity in general.
Your attitudes towards economics appear capitalist, and combined with your social attitudes this creates the picture of someone who would generally be described as a paleoconservative.
To round out the picture you appear to be, political preference aside, a sensible pascifistic centrist with several strong convictions.
This is clearly a USian test: I had to look up paleoconservative, not a term one hears in Britain. I don't think you can make a universal test: too many things depend on local conditions. I was amused to see some people were said to be tender-minded ultra-progressives "like a university professor"! — they should have met the man who interviewed and accepted me for my college, Maurice Cowling.

This is clearly a USian test:
The first question about traveling without a ticket doesn't seem Americastanian.
I had to cogitate on it...a train! Public transportation! That's not so common here.
Perhaps the language of your result is tailored to the country you selected on the first page.

Your test scores indicate that you are an open-minded ultra-progressive; this is the political profile one might associate with a journalist. It appears that you are skeptical towards religion, and have a pragmatic attitude towards humanity in general.

Your attitudes towards economics appear neither committedly capitalist nor socialist, and combined with your social attitudes this creates the picture of someone who would generally be described as a liberal.

To round out the picture you appear to be, political preference aside, a sensible radical egalitarian with several strong convictions.

It's not a term you hear in the US either. At least I've never heard it.

So that's what that meant. I didn't know what it meant so I just put "strongly agree" (except for when I didn't care one way or the other there were almost no in between answers, I don't half ***), but knowing what it means now I would still have voted the same.

Your test scores indicate that you are a tender-minded progressive; this is the political profile one might associate with a university professor. It appears that you are tolerant towards religion, and have a generally optimistic attitude towards humanity in general.

Your attitudes towards economics appear socialist, and combined with your social attitudes this creates the picture of someone who would generally be described as a humanist.

To round out the picture you appear to be, political preference aside, a considerate realistic egalitarian with several strong convictions.

This concludes our analysis; we hope you found your results accurate, useful, and interesting.

Unlike many other political tests found on the Internet which base themselves on untested (and usually ideologically motivated) ideas, this inventory is adapted from Hans Eysenck's own political inventory which was developed after extensive empirical investigations in the 20th Century.

A bit vague perhaps, but probably somewhat accurate.

We don't have these traveling ticket thingies (a speeding ticket is what I think of when I see traveling and ticket). Or if we do, maybe they're in the big cities? We also don't have this paleoconservative.
Apparently we do (according to Wiki it is primarily focused in American), but it isn't in common use.

Sounds pretty close to me, to be honest. My ideology and views have become more pragmatic, and less socialist as I've aged.

I think this is probably the best/most accurate ideological test I have found yet: Social Attitude Test

Your test scores indicate that you are a tough-minded progressive; this is the political profile one might associate with a journalist. It appears that you are distrustful towards religion, and have an indifferent and uncompassionate attitude towards humanity in general.

Your attitudes towards economics appear socialist, and combined with your social attitudes this creates the picture of someone who would generally be described as a humanist.

Edit:

Looks like I'll be joining folks in the ultra-progressive DIR then!
