All of the world's leaders prop up extremely consequential lies that they tell us over and over again. Virtually every leader is complicit, so it's impossible to lay blame on this leader or that country.

These consequential lies include:

- That our governments pursue the best interests of their people.
- That religion is a peaceful influence.
- That our governments place a high value on universal human rights.
- That our governments know how to be good stewards of our planet.

Twilight, not bright nor dark, good nor bad.
You do realize that the US is a "terrorist nation" by any reasonable definition of the term, right?

In fact, the assassination of Soleimani could be reasonably called a terrorist act itself.

He was actively engaged in hostilites making him an enemy combatant.

Nice job defending someone like that.

WWMRD?
More than 200 civilians have died since Trump droned Soliemani and the Iraqi general in Iraq. Trump made matters worse and united the Iranians and the Iraqis.

Which has nothing to do with the post you were responding to. Does it matter whether it was a civilian who tortures, rapes, and kills that was sentenced to death or a general that commanded the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and their activities that tortures, rapes, and kills thousands of Iranian civilians? You really ought to read up on what they do to protesters and female journalists in their prisons. Not to mention this general that oversaw genocide in Syria.

200 civilians? I imagine you are including the plane that Iran shot down and the Iranian civilians that were trampled by other Iranian civilians.

At the time he was killed, he was a pea e negotiator, regardless of anything else he had done.

BTW: would you say that blowing 6 people up with a drone strike is being "actively engaged in hostilities?"

Nice job defending someone like that.
I'm not defending him; I'm condemning the people you support.
