"Don't weep because it is over." Instead "Smile because it happened."

It is another way to contemplate the painful losses over the years.

There is also this to consider;

"O SON OF MAN! Thou art My dominion and My dominion perisheth not; wherefore fearest thou thy perishing? Thou art My light and My light shall never be extinguished; why dost thou dread extinction? Thou art My glory and My glory fadeth not; thou art My robe and My robe shall never be outworn. Abide then in thy love for Me, that thou mayest find Me in the realm of glory."

It may not be appropriate to say this
But, a loss is a loss..
Just try not to be very attached to this vain world..
And you will not be able to do that fully..
May God protect us and all our loved ones..
And may he heal the hearts of those who suffered the pain of losing someone who was very attached to them..

Thanks. Good one to remember. It really makes sense, never thought about it this way when my first girlfriend dumped me.

Better I practice this one now, to be ready when the doctor tells me "We can't help you anymore ... just 1 more week to live"

What? Me worry?

My long gone grandmother use to say "Might just as well laugh as to cry...". Helped me through more than one crisis.

BTW, if you can imagine a country Betty White, that was pretty much my grandmother.

No disaster strikes upon the earth or among yourselves except that it is in a register before We bring it into being - indeed that, for Allah, is easy,
In order that you not despair over what has eluded you and not exult [in pride] over what He has given you. And Allah does not like everyone self-deluded and boastful -
quran (57:22-23)
