Something from nothing, the big bang, science has it all.

Bible Student already said it: "He was the big bang"
Doesn't it say: "Do unto self as I will be self",
or something like that !

I can answer when you give me a precise defintion of what you mean with singularity.

What was prior to the singularity ?
Singularity is a point of infinite density and infinitesimal (zero) volume, the whole universe in a zero volume, sounds science.

If you can read this, you are as lucky as I am.
You could, but no one has come up with a credible alternative that explains the conditions we have now.

Yes. There were scientists who did not like the idea of the big bang who kept the theory alive, but it didn't fit the data so even they abandoned it after trying to make it work.

Reality doesn't care much if it's our cup of tea, though. We might have ideas, but if those ideas contradict the data then they are just good dreams for us.

I wish I could "like" this twice. Emphasis mine.

You think mediation takes discipline, try doing this. Scientific inquiry shakes up its own foundations regularly. It is self-correcting and does not claim the levels of knowledge and assumptions of religious belief.

Oh, it makes sense now, i thought it was near zero.
So what is the volume of the singularity ?

In calculus, it's called a limit, where the a output for a function can be approximated as the input value approaches a number. We use it all the time.

A simple function like f(x) = 1/x cannot produce an output for x=0, because you cannot divide by zero. But we can determine the vertical asymptote where x is approaching zero. The value of y is infinity.

Yes, and flying horses picking up prophets sounds religion, lol.

Do you think we have a viable theory about things with that property?

That is the infinite density for a point of zero volume, you're confusing volume with density.

The volume has been estimated as being roughly the size of a present-day atom, although I've seen it estimated as large as a pearl, and the density would be that along with the mass of the entire universe in that small of volume. Again, these are estimates based on our limited knowledge.

I honestly wish that the mathematics of the theoretical physics of the Big Bang consisted of a single inverse function with only two variables. My petty example does nothing more that try to explain the general concept of approaching zero.

Guys,

in the scientific community "singularity" is a moniker for "we do not know".

There is no theory, yet, that explains the behavior of energy at such levels of density and if it ever reaches such levels of density. That would require a viable theory that marries quantum mechanics (small sizes) and relativity (high energies).

We do not have such. So, we do not know, yet. If we knew, physicists would be unemployed. Contrarily to religious truths: they are known, but priests still have a job, for some reason, lol

Deity has always existed. Yet is self created. If Deity is not self created, then it implies that He was created.

So, self created entails not being created, right?

If yes, why not simply say "uncreated"?

How do you know they are self-created and when did it happen? What was before deity came from nothing?

I see this kind of problem here:
A lot of people here think that God(spirit) was the singularity,
the singularity that was surrounded by a void of nothingness.
Then God held all the other stuff in the singularity in his hands,
and He said: "Abbra cadaver" and made everything we now know exists.
And the universe is still expanding into that void,
that void from which the singularity came.

I'm tired of typing 'singularity', can I stop now ?

Mass is finite, density goes towards infinity when the volume goes to zero, as mass is infinite then being divide by zero(volume) then density is infinite.
