Something no human has seen before': The first-ever photograph of a black hole will likely be unveil

This will be interesting.

Our galaxy's black hole may be pointing a radio jet right at us.

The ALMA telescope provided the highest resolution images of Sagittarius A yet, giving us a peak into where the black hole is aiming its emissions.

Next Wednesday, at several press briefings around the world, scientists will apparently unveil humanity's first-ever photo of a black hole, the European Space Agency said in a statement. Specifically, the photo will be of "Sagittarius A," the supermassive black hole that's at the center of our Milky Way galaxy.

Many scientists believe in a black hole at the center of galaxies
There is also a view that black holes spew out material in a while hole and is seen as quasars near the galaxies.

In that view quasars are red because they are intrinsically red not because there are the most distant and most red shifted

see Arpian theory based on the research of Max Plank's Halton Arp

Nice piece of news; however, considering that the plane of our galaxy lies at pretty much a right angle to the center's ejecta this is extremely improbable.

That there is a black hole in the center of our galaxy is shown by the orbit of stars around a space in the middle of our galaxy. And though the orbits prove it to be extremely massive. 4.1 million times the mass of our Sun, there is no star there or other source of light. Now it could be conceivably be something else, but there is no evidence for any other object besides a super massive black hole. Do you have an explanation for the motion of stars around the center of our galaxy?

Pretty sure they already have the picture. Why the delay in showing it ???

Such a shame Stephen Hawking didn't live just a bit longer to see this. :(
He lived with purpose, and I think he was already happy enough seeing it through the equations... that's more than our sensory organs can ever amount to. So we should celebrate his tireless work with this. :)

Since I work in close contact with the CERN. I have already that picture. It is amazing. Definetely the picture of black hole taken very close to it. Please do not tell anybody you got it from me.

Here it is

Very true, but to have seen his life's work previously only "seen" in equations. It is a shame he didn't miss it by much.

Tomorrow is supposed to be the day to release the photo(s). I'm curious to see what they have.
