Songs About Faith/Doubt and God

Here are some songs I listen to pertaining to faith in god and religion. Seems to be a common enough theme, musicians struggling a bit with faith and doubt.

Another Audioslave.
"And on my deathbed I will pray to the gods and the angels,
Like a pagan to anyone who will take me to heaven;"

Something from Nine Inch Nails about faith.

"(Hey god) why are you doing this to me?
Am I not living up to what I'm supposed to be?
Why am I seething with this animosity?
(Hey god) I think you owe me a great big apology
Terrible lie"

Drowning Pool - Sermon from the Sinner album.
Where was god
When I needed a friend
Where was god
When I came to an end
Where was god
When I lost my mind
Where was god
When I couldn't find

Don't want to be up or down

Where was love
When I felt like hate
Where was hate
When I felt like love
Where were you
When you said you'd be there
Where was the fear
When I said I was scared

Tell me what you believe
I'll tell you
What you should see
'Cause I don't know
Who to trust
My heart is filled with disgust

I can't take this

Ladies and gentlemen
May I have your attention
Are you ready for the joke
Are you ready for the
Great deception

REM "losing my religion" along with REM "it's the end of the world" are an awesome combination for me. Along with audio slave and ColdPlay's "clocks." One that i dont think gets enough creed in this genre is Leonard Cohen's hallelujah. Its always been covered more as a religious song but if you actually listen to his version closely, it's strongly bashing religiosity in all forms in how he sings it. Its extremely subtle in prosody. Oh and I love Eddie Vedder cover of hard sun. A big fat **** you to religion of the institution university and anyone who isn't about nature.

You reminded me of this classic from Ozzy.
