I'm Vito. I was apparently a part of this forum back in 2010. I got an email from this site, and now I'm here.
I am a Franciscan friar currently studying for priestly ordination. I don't talk to birds. I don't hug trees. I work with the poor, homeless, and marginalized. I also provide IT support for outreach organizations that provides for those people.
I guess my interest in participating is the recognition that people come to places like this to discuss their faith, perhaps even seeking to grow in it or maybe learn more. It also seems like a place for actual discourse. I joined a "Rationally Related" forum a few years ago with similar intentions, and it was instantly assumed I was trying to preach. I've stayed away from message boards since then.
My faith is Roman Catholicism. My education is in Com Sci and Philosophy, mostly Early Modern. My graduate studies are in theology. Perhaps I can share an insight or two, and perhaps learn a few things in this venue.
