Religion and Science are not mutually exlusive. They are not opposites, they do not pull away from eachother of cancel eachother out.

I don't understand why people would think otherwise.

Please explain it to me.

Religion is not a method to understand the natural world.

Religion is a method to transfer cultural mores from one generation to the next. Besides that it is a term defining social rituals and magical thinking. And I do not use that term in a derogatory manner. Magical thinking refers to a belief in gods, magic, etc. The basis of religion is a belief without evidence.

Science is a categorical method to understand the natural world. Evidence is key and even when the evidence defines a specific model belief in that model only applies until that model is shown to be incorrect.

Religion and spirituality, by definition, is not falsifiable. Science, by definition, is falsifiable. Also, according to the historical record, science has shown, or canceled out, various religious beliefs.

The two are not the same.

To the extent that spiritual beings are alleged to cause physical events in the real world, they become subject to empirical investigation. Religions offer up miracles as evidence to validate their claims. That is tacit acknowledgment that religion is subject to scientific investigation. The main reason that apologists for religion try to downplay the relevance of science is that they hope to immunize their claims of divine interventions from rational scrutiny.

So the Big Problem with Evolution friends is that They Leave God out of their Equations which Simply means that They, Scientists simply come up with the wrong ANSWER...:foot:

First of all, most Christians believe in evolution, which has been officially accepted by Roman Catholicism, the largest Christian denomination. They endorse the scientific findings as the right ANSWER. You can keep the shoe in your mouth, but you might consider removing the blindfold and earplugs. :p

Scientists Climb up to the Top of the Mountain and find the Christians at the Top waiting for them...er um Laughing into their ARMPITS...;)
Again, you commit the factual error of claiming that the Christian position opposes evolution. It is only religious fundamentalists who oppose evolution. Not only have you got your facts wrong on evolution, but you misrepresent what Christians actually tend to believe about evolution.

Michael Palin?...Gnomon. Copernicus. Tiapan...grumpy old man?:slap:

Hi Zenzoro too my ally?

Refer you all to my Previous Thread then....

Roman Catholic Church...largest 'christian' denomination? More fool them...that is the pagan part coming out they cannot help it.:sarcastic

evolution is not Fact but still Theory unproven...claimed by 'fools' to be proved however NOT...:slap: ('The fool has said in his heart there is no God')

Ha Ha hee hee...i took the shoe out to answer you's it will go back in afterwards mates! I have no ear plugs or blindfold...I listen, look and see all the often well presented programmes by evolutions and I pray for them...:)

Many Christians are denying their faith by accepting even part of evolution...however I do not judge them for they are Mislead!:faint:

Religious Fun-dementalists (we still keep the FUN!) have got a bad name lately for various reasons...but we are just 'childlike' Christians ('suffer the children to come unto me') who still believe in our Creator God...a Loving Father...the Cavalry is coming to save us...the second coming of our Creator Saviour King Jesus.....:candle:

Here endeth the lesson.

Shalom. May God bless all here. brother2.:cigar:

You will find my responses by referring to all of my previous threads as well. Are we lazy, or what? ;)

I see. Everyone who doesn't share your opinion on religion is a fool. Do you think that namecalling is a persuasive form of argument? :p

No scientific arguments have been proven in your sense of "proven". Evolution is the foundation of modern biology, but I assume that you consider scientists to be fools. Like Catholics. :areyoucra

It's a good thing that you are not a judgmental person.

Hi Capernicus...Online...really lovely to Debate with you...:slap:me gettin slapped...

I call no one a Fool...I am just quoting the Almighty...I figure he can get away with it as King of the Universe...

:

I think its more accurate to say you are quoting a book which you believe was inspired by "the almighty". Not quite the same thing.
