Namaste Andal,

I see you like Sri Velukkudi Krishnan - his videos have become the de-facto standard for anyone wanting to learn on Sri Vaishnavam. I am quite a fan of his videos too. Thanks for the link and enjoy the uploads on YT when you type in 'velukkudi krishnan upanyasam in english'. (And also at vedics.org).

Vannakkam,

Viraja, are you the same Viraja from Hinduforums? If so, I have you to thank for this :) I am deeply enthralled with these videos. This came at the perfect time as I was feeling that every Sri Vaishnav video was in Tamil and then Sri Velukkudi Krishnan was brought to my awareness!

Namaste Andal,

Yes, I am also participating in HinduForums under the same name. :) May I ask you if you post there, perhaps under a different name? If it is too personal, you may also PM me.

Yes, Sri Krishnan is doing great service to Vaishnava community.

Yes, Sri Krishnan is doing great service to Vaishnava community. (Besides he seems to be very open-minded and large-hearted too. If I am right, his son is married to a Muslim lady! That is what I read recently.)

Pranam.

Wonderful! I thought you were. I am LakshmiDevi on there. I don't post super often though.

His openness comes through in his discourses. What an incredible blessing.

Pranam :)

Well, I have to say, very nice to meet you here, Andal! :)

I did notice you post very infrequently there, but from your little bio given there, I figured you are Western but with strong affinity for Eastern religions/Buddism/Hinduism. Very nice to know you and good for me, I found another woman interested in Vaishnavam :). Always nice to have company. Hope to have nice interactions with you going forth.

Yes I've been a member for years but post very infrequently. It's a bit more than affinity. I grew up Buddhist then transitioned to Vaishnavism :) What is your background?

Very nice to meet you as well. I think us ladies are few and far between on many of the forums. It's very lovely to meet another Vaishnavi. :D

Namaste Andal,

I was born in a South Indian Vaishnava family. Although my birth was as such, my family wasn't traditional. They've been into Shaktism mostly and my mother lately has been a SaiBaba devotee. I am the only one who takes Vaishnavam pretty seriously within my family, such as listening to discourses on Vaishnavam, wanting to visit Vaishnava temples and such. So I am a bit of a loner there. My husband is from the same Vaishnava sect, as mine had been an arranged marriage. Although he performs tarpanam, etc to his parents quite thoroughly, he isn't a 'religious' type.

I don't watch TV, it is not only American TV but also the Indian TV. All I watch is the news and a few good shows, so I have a bit of time to spend on fora.

Vannakkam,

This is what is so amazing I feel about Sanatana Dharma, we have such different backgrounds and yet are united under the feet of Sriman Narayana :). Do you live in India?
