Larson has signed on to make the movie. But Moore will have nothing to do with it. I think they'll get Rhymer to both write and direct.

Sure it does! I'm very curious as to why. I know some of my friends who are into Trek feel this way about the movie but that hardly makes us an authority so I'd love to hear what you think. Besides, that was why I included the "why?" in the OP. So we could discuss the quotes and what they mean to us rather than just have another boring list of Star Trek quotes. After all, there's dozens of them on the internet.

Ah, so you were able to go into it with an open mind. When I saw it my friends and I had been playing armchair psychoanalyst with Star Trek for many years. I had no problem with the message, I was an agnostic at the time, it just didn't surprise me. So while it was enjoyable and entertaining, it wasn't magical. But then again, they can't all be The Wrath of Kahn.
