Starting or Posting in Threads but Then Getting Too Busy Offline

Do you ever start a thread or post in one intending to participate in it but get too busy offline to continue and then feel bad about that? I have had this happen quite a few times, and it always makes me feel a degree of guilt when I don't respond to someone after they have put thought and time into responding to my thread or post.

Yes. Though I don't get embarrassed, I've come to believe it happens on threads so no point in feeling bad about it. I usually try to get back to the conversation later but often times its moved on...

Which reminds me: Is the Trending Topics button gone for good then?

To answer the OP, yes. But now I blame it on the RF software to mitigate the guilt. If the alerts could be only for followup posts and not likes, it would be nice.
