More bacon....less cheese....better sandwich. Don't forget tomatoes!
Tomatoes by themselves or in none sauce or soup form, tend to make me retch.
What can I say? I am a cheese man.
But one of my favorite foods is rice, I actually eat it, just by itself sometimes.

I like my sandwiches with turkey and tomato, and cheese if it's a panini :p

- Eat bacon. It won't help you stay awake, but why not?

My best is 35 hours. Was done by staying busy but pacing myself, interneting, reading, resting with eyes closed for a bit now and then. Talking with missus/friends/family, walking dog, playing pc games. Even had some red wine, coffee. Stay away from the sugar the crash is tough.
Didn't hallucinate but certainly felt weird, tired from hour 16 through to 20, but then quite up beat post the 20 hour mark, then later disassociated like nothing mattered, like i wasn't me, then later still unable to think coherently at all and gave up the ghost at 35 and called that the new personal record, 26 had been the previous pb.
Was interesting.

I stayed up for three days once and only once in my life, and it was to wrap up my grad work in New York.

I can't honestly remember how I did it, except I had a strict deadline, a massive thesis to edit, review, rush to print store to get multiple copies for the board review and peer review, an hour and a half presentation to practice and perfect, and only a little money and food available to me. Basically, I was driven to complete it all and had only one thing on my mind - graduation.

With everything I had to complete, and only a few days before it was due (I couldn't ask for an extension because I ran out of money and had to move out of my place in the city and back to the midwest....I would have had to scrounge up the money again to travel back to NYC to complete everything) - it really was a waste of time to sleep.

The side effects I had was a strange numbness in my forehead and a mental fog that I couldn't explain. It felt like this world was really a dream. Weird.

I was able to get everything done 2 hours before it was due. 9 AM sharp, no ifs ands or buts about it, it had to be given because the entire faculty and the LIMS board was there ready and waiting. Those 2 hours I had to kill, with my huge box of my materials with me, I went next door to the bagel and coffee shop, sat down and laid my box on the table in front of me, had some coffee, and just stared out the window with my head resting on the box. I didn't fall asleep there because I was too exhausted but I still had a presentation to give, and to convince the board that I was qualified to graduate (they love to corner you and put you on the spot despite how good your scholarship was).

After I gave my presentation, gave my interview to the board, and rode the train back home, I collapsed onto my bed and slept for the next 15 hours.

Shree Mahavir Swami was known to sleep for only 48 minuites per night when he was an ascetic for twleve years. Thats alot of time awake!

You guys are a bunch of light weights.

I just came out of a four day insomnia.

The first day after a restless night is usually the worst.
Not having slept the night before makes a fellow tired.

The second night can sometimes have a 'catnap ' in it.
But the following day still needs to be dealt with.

Night number three is full blown thinking.

Day three, I have to be careful each chore I decide to perform.
Hopefully not around metal cutting machinery.

The fourth night will have a couple of hours of catnapping.
The fourth day, is usually better than day three.

The fifth night....I'm out of it.
Good dreams though...real good dreams.

I grew up with insomnia.
I deal with it.

But if you're just doing this as a stunt....
Do it on your vacation...at home....have someone ask you an intelligent question now and then.
And stimulants burn off your reserves.
You won't go as far, messing with your chemistry.

And stay home.

A catnap? It doesn't count if you fall asleep for longer than it takes for your head to hit the desk....or floor.

Higher self. That intelligent you. What happens under certain circumstances including sleep deprivation theres a communication chemical that rises in the brain that it allow you to communicate on a much higher level. It is what makes magic.

I am a subconscious communicator. but the communication normally happens when you are not aware but when you are aware, you can control it (with alot of practice that is!)
As for it being Hallucinations that will be true for some but for few others it is completely something else. The communication chemical is d.m.t that is produced naturally in the brain.

oh yeah...don't kid yourself.

The only rest your heart gets is when you lay down.
The REM cycle is suppose to be there...six...seven times... a night.

Having a little 'nap' and then up and then at'em again?
Most people can't...and should not.

I have only a slight advantage, having grown up this way.

Done here.
1 day done, got a few more days, I am gonna try to stay up long enough to helucinate.

I'm not sure if two days will do it. I've hallucinated after being up more than 80 to 90 hours, but not less than 80. It's really not worth it; you're better off sleeping. But I suppose you're going to do what you're going to do. Be careful. Don't drive.
