Steve Harvey under fire for making jokes about Asian men

Why bait an argument here?

It's like asking conservatives what they think in a gun violence thread. What's the point when you already know the answer. Just accept your differences.
Actually, I do not know the answer, that's why I'm asking.

I've always thought he was a prudish hypocrite anyways. I never have liked him. He acts all churchy and high moral and upity, but also has hosted Miss Universe.

Well, I've laughed at terrorist jokes. Here's a comedian that completely banks on it.

We just have to learn to laugh at each other without taking offense.

I agree, which is why I like Russell peters he makes fun of everyone equally.

Sorry this is just stupid PC nonsense. You're not American just because you have a picture of an eagle on your passport. If Asians don't like it here they should get out.
People have tried to make being American an exclusive club, pretty much starting with British Protestantism, but that didn't work really because there were others here, and along would come the Irish, and then the Catholics, and then the Mexicans, and heaven forbid the Atheist would even come along. No one really has a monopoly over being an American. Our concept of naturalized citizenship also complicates things a tad bit.

It will be fun to watch the activitst-PC, SJW crowd twist itself into knots trying to figure how to maintain any sort of consistency with itself.

I'm looking forward to the scene of a bunch of rich, white college kids protesting a black comedian, and calling him racist, for making jokes about black people. Assuming, of course, that this hasn't already happened.

I just answered by commenting in this thread earliet as I identify myself more of a liberal. Please read that comment and comment with yours?

Thanks
As a libertarian, I respect his right of free speech on the government level.

At the same time, I don't care for his comments on a personal level, and I wouldn't associate with him.

I didn't say any of those groups couldn't be American but for me being American is more than having a piece of paper that says so or happening to be born on American soil. A refugee who just arrived six hours ago can be more American "in spirit" than someone who has been here for generations if you know what I mean.

Chances are good they have more patriotism and potential for national pride than what I could manage to muster on a good day.
