Some of us know that our technology has outstripped our morals and emotional evolution.

Best we get rid of the ability to make life "easier" at the expense of the planet we call home.

You can do that already without a massive chronal mass ejection of the sun or EMP if that is you what you personally want. There are people who go off the grid, at different levels, all the time.

I know. My thread mentioned solar flares, but I Lumped CMEs with that because I forgot the terminology.

Every year I am reverting my technology backwards, as everyone should be.

I've started growing, catching, foraging and preserving my own food for instance. The week of the winter solstice I forgo as much electricity as possible. Lights, heat, etc.

I will be buying a small I've of land and homesteading eventually.

Frying every bit of electronics around the world, and plunging us back into the relative stone age.

Could humanity recover back to the point we are at now, technologically, in this scenario, why or why not?

No.Agricultural systems,water and the electricity grid would be wiped.Which is why the Milton group Russia/N Korea etc are ready with IT systems to hack and disable SUCH systems of people and countries they disagree with.
It could happen tomorrow but hack attack not a solar flare.Especially in war time.
