Strange Scandinavian politics

Regarding a discussion about trash in the street a Finnish politician of the center party(liberal, traditionally agrarian) called people who are "down and out", alcoholics and such "human trash" and asked what is to be done about them. The whole gaffe was reported by a "True Finn"(right wing populist) and condemned across party lines, even her own party. She also backpedaled and called it an error.

Meanwhile in Sweden the SD(anti-immigration right wing nationalists) blamed the Green party for not caring about orangutans by promoting use of renewable oils, production of which threaten the orangutans' habitat. They also wanted more to be done to preserve language of traditional minorities such as Romani, Finns, Jews, Sami that have lived in Sweden for centuries.

Imagine, if you will, US right-wing populists wanting to put more money to preserve Hispanic, Afro-American and Native American heritage.

Just wanted to give you guys a culture shock, this kind of stuff is strange to me too, but I can't imagine it happening in the US. That would be more of a "miracle".

The left-wing-party (PD) here is supposed to defend LGBT rights, but you will find only heterosexual Catholics , married with kids among its leaders.

Gays can be found only in the right-wing-area (two of our ministers are gay)...besides divorcees and unmarried people.

Some countries can't handle it economically. Swedes were capable of handling it previously and their economy is more capable. Their problems have more to do with getting people integrated and the criminal and religious fanatic gangs that have formed as well as the reactionaries to that.

Yes, and this is also a problem in France, the UK, etc. Here in the States, we've had less of a problem along these lines.

The only real solution is to trim the population.
Otherwise, more & more land & sea will be denuded to serve us.

Since you mentioned it, I'd be careful about the brushing after meals as it can damage the enamel.

I don't trust politicians in general from any side, but it's interesting that they eat palm oil and drink almond milk without care. They're not even pretending that well to be for environmental causes when they ignore issues much of their base should be aware of.

Nobody gives a crap about the ministers. The point is gay people are extremely rarely on the right wing for the very reason that the right wing is never on their side.
