Please expand on these instances where people "become" gay, I have yet to see someone "become" gay all of a sudden so this really does confuse me.

Actually it confuses me to understand someone being born a homosexual. I only know of male and female genders, a feeling for homosexuality is developed overtime.

well first off, from reading the pauline letters we can notice that paul was an a-sexual sexist. or at least acted that way. he was also very pleased with himself and not very accepting of other people's methods or approaches to christianity. more often than not he condemned or accused other servants of god and usually ended by saying "i wish they were more like me".

but hey, they are, and because of that we have to assume that they are also inspired in some way by god, especially since even paul himself says on occasion that he is speaking on behalf of god. and thats where many of christianities problems and controversies come from

Well, technically speaking, not only is there just male and female, there are also people who do not identify as either gender, people who identify as both genders, and some people who identify as the gender that is opposite of there birth gender. Gender delves much, much deeper that what is between your legs. A very large part of it also has to do with the mind, which as science shows, also has a gender.

As for being homosexual or heterosexual, that too is encoded into our brains. An incident occurred in which two identical twin boys were born. The boys were having problems urinating, so the doctor suggested that circumcision might work. Unfortunately, one of the boys suffered through a botched circumcision. A doctor in Baltimore suggested that if started early enough, a boy could indeed be raised as a girl. The parents tried this, and had the boys testicles removed. Unfortunately, the plan of raising this boy as a girl did not work at all. Not only did the boy still act like a boy, even raised as a girl, he was attracted to women.

That incident shows that a large amount of our characteristics are indeed based on genetics. Not all of them, but more than enough to argue otherwise.

i disagree...social norms..homosexuality brings glory to satan. No life comes from a union like that. The man and woman were made to reproduce. We were made in his image. So having children, brings glory to God because we all reflect God. (yes i know homosexuals adopt and some lesbians have children..) It is a choice at the end of the day. If you wake up and wanna have sex with the same sex..you will do so. Vice Versa. Desires of the flesh are just that...you have a choice. If your attracted to the same sex..and fight against that..u will feel unhappy, unsatisfied..etc. But its still a fleshy desire. All fleshy desires are a hindrance to you in some way. Renew your mind spiritually so that u can deny ur flesh and strive to please God. (if you believe in God..according to the holy Bible homosexuality is wrong! So is adultery, stealing, fornicating.etc..its all a choice to do those actions) My bro inlaw and sis in law are homosexuals who profess to believe in Jesus Christ. They know its wrong according to the Bible. It took them awhile to accept that part of the bible. They felt as if God hated them..etc..but they know better now because the know the Bible better. They understand the spiritual realm. Opposing family is ur option. If you reveal the truth to them with love..and they reject it..you don't have to allow them to hinder ur living. Just continue to live for Jesus and pray in Jesus name for the truth sink in their hearts. If you feel as though them being homo is not hindering Ur walk with Christ..continue to be a light in the darkness and show love and truth. Lost ppl need ppl to show them love..not act as if they are the scum of the earth because they sleep with the same sex. They just need revelation and repentance!

i would like to offer some information that contradicts this thought.....

Matthew verses 27-28: "You have heard that it was said to those of old, 'You shall not commit adultery.' But I say to you that whoever looks at a woman to lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart."
Christ said that this sin is not defined by just a physical act; if we even allow such a thought in our mind we have sinned.

how can it not be a sin until it is acted upon.. when it says here that merely thinking it.. makes it a sin?.. is it different for homosexuals.. is it just when a man lusts after a woman.. and not another man, and vice versa?
