I was back in Manchester on Wednesday for the first time in years. Sheesh, I hardly recognised much of it (the uni area - Oxford Road and around).God i hope so.
Here in the States, laundry baskets typically don't have a lid like a hamper would.Or laundry basket. Either way I wouldn't be expecting it to contain sausage rolls
I am ashamed to admit that the furthest north of the UK I have ever been is Nottingham.I was back in Manchester on Wednesday for the first time in years. Sheesh, I hardly recognised much of it (the uni area - Oxford Road and around).
I believe the technical term is buzzin.I am ashamed to admit that the furthest north of the UK I have ever been is Nottingham.
I like the sound of Manchester, I get the impression it is very lively and colourful. I hope.
A hamper, in my personal childhood experience, is a wicker woven lidded basket, containing plates, glasses, cutlery, sandwiches, wine, cheeses and possibly, grapes. Used when out on a picnic, somewhere with trees usually, in summer. Here in the States, laundry baskets typically don't have a lid like a hamper would.
Brung up? God you are posh, I was dragged up!I was brung up just north of north Manchester, i recognise the intonation;-)

The Charcoal Pit is a pizza shop... I was saddened.
