I am reminded by the whole Satan vs Lucifer debate. If you are a Luciferian in my view you are a Satanist as you are still being adversarial to the norms of ignorance. I am not fond of the whole label thing because I love paganism, Arabic/Islamic philosophy and Satanism. I have a 3 way love affair it seems . I will reconcile my mistresses and see what I become one day
Excuse me? Someone - i.e. you - made some assumptions about the O9A on this thread, and I replied here, on this thread, in respect of the assumptions made, asking you to clarify certain matters.Keep your ONA crap to that other thread and don't derail this one.
Perhaps you could explain what 'type' you think I am?We get you types every so often
So Ive been re-reading TSB over the past few days. Its been many years since I read it. While Levay makes a lot of good points, I kind of feel very little of what he discusses has barely anything to do with Satanism. He briefly talks about Satan being this "dark force of nature" but never goes into any detail as to why he thinks that. He also says that he chose to associate his philosophy with the term Satanism simply because humans need guidelines to follow in their lives, so he calls it satanism. I dont mean to offend anyone who follows Levays version of Satanism, but it seems so...childish. Ive almost finished the book and realized that most of the pages are describing what he thinks Satanism isnt, rather than what it actually is! Also, what the hell does psychic vampires have to do with Satanism?
Maybe its because my idea of Satanism is very different, but Im starting to think Levay was nothing more than a showman who used Satan to draw attention to himself. Again, I hope that doesnt offend anyone, but am I making sense here?
I agree. What's worse is LaVey seems to stay with some people. Even after they try becoming more spiritual types of Satanists that anger and aggression remain.
Psychic vampirism is actually interesting. Ironically, LaVey took far more than he put out, and what he put out he did for himself. He himself is a "psychic vampire".

Thats funny, I never really thought of it that way. He kind of did become a psychic vampire!
