Well, there's your answer.
There's a group of fanatics who will destroy anything including paintings to get attention. This is just one example. Here's another A portrait of King Charles III was defaced in the latest act of activist vandalism
Years ago we castigated the Muslim fanatics for destroying Buddhist statues. Now many different groups with different motives are being equally destructive.
What's particularly stupid about this is that in the UK, Pagans (Druids especially) and those deeply concerned about environmental issues are two circles with a very high degree of overlap. It is beyond tone deaf for this organization to swipe at the very people who support ecocentric ethics and religions.

Probably oil industry wants to make people to think that all people who care bout environment are lunatics. That is why they told to the just stop oil (JSO) people that oil comes form Stonehenge and that is why the JSOs went to do the best they can to stop oil coming from Stonehenge. I know, it is unhinged, not the Stonehenge, but the actions.

100% agree. I once read an essay, I think it was by Lenin or some other famous revolutionary. The theme of it was the sheer stupidity of people who seek change, alienating the people whose support they wish to gain. These morons would be well advised to read such literature.
