I love it when other people know the shows I'm into. :D

Who is your favorite character?

Definitely Bobby. So glad they gave him a well-developed send off...just wish they hadn't done the "rescue from Hell" bit to tug at the heartstrings.

Ha, I watched the whole thing and eventually ran out. Love that show. I worked on it for a couple days recently. Can't wait to see that episode.

Haven't seen the season finale yet...eek! I'm a couple of days behind. I heard it's awesome.

Holy cow, holy cow, holy cow. What did everybody think about the season finale?

Crowley's speech to Dean was obviously to the audience, and I applaud their willingness to go somewhere completely new.

Still hoping season 10 is the end though.

Me too. It's gotten pretty stale over the last couple of seasons and they just need to shake it up and end it.

It leaves me wondering whether there is a statute of limitations on the trials. If Sam tries to cure Dean, and the demon trials are still in place, Sam dies and Dean lives ad nauseum.

What I'm hoping for: Dean journeys into Hell for Important Mission X, Sam purifies Crowley, and Castiel uses up his stolen Grace.

Sam goes to Heaven, Dean goes to Hell along with the mark, and Castiel and Crowley become human ushering in the newest hunter team spin-off.

Yes it would be bittersweet and loony, but who cares anymore?

Right?

I changed my mind a bit on my ideal ending. Sam must live.

Think about the parallels between any season and the season 5 years before or after it. The newest five involve Sam dragging Dean back into the hunting life against his will, him losing his family, and becoming a monster. This is exactly the same metaplot as the first 5 seasons, which means the ending must be Dean sacrificing himself for Sam to live. This makes perfect sense since Dean has nothing to live for except for Sam.

We can even get a tear-jerking monologue from Dean telling Sam to live for himself and not for him, asking forgiveness for dragging him into a life he never asked for, and hoping that he never sees Sam in Hell along with him ever. This would especially work now that Dean is a Knight of Hell and Crowley's on the road to Humanity.
