Suppression of Free Speech on Covid

Did Trump forget his impassioned promotion of the horse anti-parasite medication Ivermictin?

Due to the volume of communications, confusing statements, and the amount of distrust in the research
community, an apparent attempt by a head researcher (Mills) to communicate more openly about their trial
with researchers in favor of ivermectin ended in frustration. The press and ’fact-checkers’ widely disseminated
misleading information that conflicted with the opinion of the head researcher expressed in more informal
contexts such as a video presentation.

"The safety of COVID-19 vaccines plays an important role in addressing vaccine hesitancy. We conducted a large cohort study to evaluate the risk of non-COVID-19 mortality after COVID-19 vaccination while adjusting for confounders including individual-level demographics, clinical risk factors, health care utilization, and community-level socioeconomic risk factors."

Then I wouldn't call it a vaccine but that's just me.
Well that's the same for all vaccines.

That's a misunderstanding on your part. Vaccines aren't complete nullifiers. In fact I can only think of one: smallpox. Instead they reduce* transmission to a point that with enough people vaccinated the transmission vector is negligible. This is what we wanted with Covid. It's herd immunity that helps.

But that ship sailed the first couple month's we refused everyone getting vaccinated.

These mass vaccination efforts are why smallpox, polio, and the yearly flu aren't killing people regularly anymore.

Edit:
"Preventing disease:
Some vaccines, like those for polio and measles, prevent diseases. For example, the COVID-19 vaccine can prevent infection and reduce the risk of disease. However, not everyone who gets vaccinated will be protected from the disease.

Reducing severity:
Vaccines can also reduce the severity of a disease, making it less likely that someone will be hospitalized or die from it. For example, the flu and COVID-19 vaccines can reduce the severity of those diseases."

It was on fire when I laid down on it.
The only person I know personally who died of COVID was "vaccinated" five times before she got it just a few weeks after her last vaccination. So no thanks. I mean, it just is not predictable. I also got COVID just a few weeks after I was "vaccinated" against it but hey, I didn't die so there's that to be grateful for I guess. However, the people I know who were not vaccinated against it also didn't die even though they did get sick with COVID, like everyone else I know. So I guess it's a crap shoot.

I think the bottom line is that none of us are likely to die from COVID, unless we have pre existing conditions or are elderly or both. All I know is that the last time I got a COVID shot, I had a headache for FOUR DAYS so no thanks. And I wasn't expecting any side effects (I had three shots because I was traveling so much).

Not so much.

Uhm

Yeah. One headline posted from Twatter means little. Kind of like the rest of your posts I've read. It's only worth ignoring.

I stick with the peer-reviewed science. Not news headlines. News sources have a terrible record of simplifying things to the point of misrepresentation of the science, in order to make it so those that aren't able to read the science understand it's basics.

Nothing is set in stone. There are always outliers, the flu vaccine kills people too, and people that get smallpox can have complications

To ignore the science because a few are outside the bell-curve. Is well... Ignorant.

I'm not calling you dumb, it's just bad reasoning and logic. Which is your prerogative.

I only provide the tools (info), what one does with the tool is up to them. I can't make someone stop using a screwdriver as a hammer.

LOL what's so wrong about using a screwdriver as a hammer? LOL

So when was the last time everyone here got a COVID shot or vaccine or whatever you want to call it?
