So the past two days my knees hurt. And after I showered today I slipped into a robe because all my jeans are in the wash, two staff members told me both my legs look swollen. I think this is because I ended up getting poor shoes that broke the first day I got them and I kept wearing them despite the fact they gave me blisters because I didn't have the money for new shoes. Well I bought some new ones this time good quality last pay check they arrived today and that hopefully will fix the problem if not I'll just go get them checked could ve a side effect of HRT. In the meantime how do I lessen the swelling?

Compression stockings.
They'll also help reduce the knee pain

So....
- Both legs? Or one more than the other?
- You have blisters? On both feet? Ruptured? If so, is there redness beyond the blister(s)?
- "Legs" are swollen...... all the way up to the hip? Or just up to the knees?
- By swelling..... do you mean red and warm? Blue and cool? Or normal color, but when you push your fingers into the front of your lower legs (below the knees) it stays indented after you pull your fingers away?

Yes. Neither red or ruptured. From wearing poor shoes for a couple of weeks.

To the knees. The calves

They were warm not red.

I feel hardly any pain now. I think keeping them elevated at the ER fir a couple of hours made it feel a lot better. The legs aren't as swollen. I'm thinking I probably strained my legs picking up kids. Maybe the warmth was due to my legs being warm. Idk. I do know my aunt was concerned tho and thought blood clot so she told me go to er

Okay, good news so far. As others have pointed out, rest, compression, elevation, and ironically drink more fluids. Swollen legs also can be a sign of too much salt in the system. Flushing with more fluids can help the built up fluids to get diluted and drain. And by fluids I mean water.
