What was the Tim Tebow controversy? One question
Why was there no uproar by the players in the NFL and the press over the Tim Tebow controversy. Just asking not taking sides. (at least not here)

You know better than this.I see, they are only protesting the President. Seems like there is a lot of that going on in certain circles.
The president did this to himself. He should start tweeting about PR and not the NFL. It's clear Trump doesn't want to help PR. Trump's idea of help is dropping off food/water and letting PR figure the rest out. One of his latest tweets mentioned that.I see, they are only protesting the President. Seems like there is a lot of that going on in certain circles.

Oh I know what's going on and I do not agree with any of it. I feel that there are better avenues to express ones objections. Just being my typical obnoxious self as it is my right to do so. If I watched football on TV or in person(which I'm not) I would be watching to enjoy a sport not to be embroiled in a political protest. As far as your comment "don't bother chiming in" goes directly against what you seem to be supporting.....my right to free speech. Or is it that only speech that one agrees with can be allowed.Have you not been paying attention? These protests were going on well before Trump was even elected. If you don't even know what's going on, don't bother chiming in.

Actually what I said was it has about as much to do with the troops as it does judge Judy, but hey, if oversimplification and cheap calls to emotion is the game you want to play then you do you. I'm going to address the issues actually being protested rather then find some unrelated excuse to be offended. (I thought that was supposed to be the other side's job?)Therefore, the flag is associated with the military. Thank you for proving my point.
Oh I don't know maybe in the highlighted post belowWhere did I suggest that you should be prevented from posting?

That's because those overly patriotic individuals all get their information from the same GOP elitists fooling them. Turn on GOP media, they're telling their 'patriots' that the people kneeling hate the military and America. Repeating it all day, every day.I personally think overly patriotic individuals complaining about footballers taking the knee is the problem.

*sigh*I see, they are only protesting the President. Seems like there is a lot of that going on in certain circles.
He was rather showy with his religious displays. There was grumbling from the Left and he was hailed a hero by the Right. AFAIK that's about it.What was the Tim Tebow controversy?
What are these "better avenues"? Handing out flyers?Oh I know what's going on and I do not agree with any of it. I feel that there are better avenues to express ones objections.
Got a source to share over this controversy? Were people upset and booing at stadiums or something? He was rather showy with his religious displays. There was grumbling from the Left and he was hailed a hero by the Right. AFAIK that's about it.
I don't think it ever got that rowdy. The battles, as I recall, were mostly held via Facebook memes, both for and against.Got a source to share over this controversy? Were people upset and booing at stadiums or something?
I remember that. People said he was playing the christian card so people would overlook his lacking football talents. I wonder why he wouldn't just pray at home when he woke up instead of making a public display of prayer. The bible forbids public displays of prayer.I don't think it ever got that rowdy. Here's a more comprehensive article: A Clash of Faith and Football.
That's abhorrently disrespectful of people who have fought for you defense and freedom (assuming you live in the US).Then it's sad that we have to tell vets of all people to 'man up'.
Because it's not about them. Why not ask veterans who DON'T feel disrespected?
Flags mean far more than what you seem to know.Actually what I said was it has about as much to do with the troops as it does judge Judy, but hey, if oversimplification and cheap calls to emotion is the game you want to play then you do you. As long as you understand that this was never about veterans, the flag itself, or the anthem.Because it's not about them.
