Taking Political Correctness Too Far

So when there was no racism or racist undertones in the original Tom and Jerry cartoon, now in the new world order inhabited by thought police and political correctness, the contemporary version of Orwell's 1984, "Ministry of Truth", we're going to implant racist undertones and warnings to taint the cartoon so as to imprint the psyche of contemporary viewers of it.

In order to fight racism.

Oh, good! Yeah Woops! You explain it.

What makes you say that there was no racism in the original cartoons? Have you watched them?

"Tom and Jerry Cartoons to Carry Racism Warnings on Amazon Prime

Tom and Jerry cartoons will now carry a warning that some scenes will feature elements of "racial prejudice" which
were once acceptable.

"Such depictions were wrong then and are wrong today," it adds.

The warning on the cartoon, which first aired in the 1940s, follows years of criticism over its portal of the character
Mammy Two Shoes, the black maid who famously only showed her face once during the much-loved show."

From what I remember, the maid was never referred to by any name in the cartoons, much less as "Mammy Two Shoes."

Your thoughts?

I actually like that such things survive. The human collective consciousness has a notoriously bad memory.
