Spirited Away is one of my all time favorite movies. I was actually in Japan when it came out, and everyone was watching it everywhere we went, never in English or with subtitles. So I watched it like 8 times in Japanese, making up the story each time. It wasn't till I got back to the States that I finally figured what the heck the whole thing was about.I kind of want to see it.
Lion King, Beauty and the Beast, and Aladdin are some of my favorite movies, even today. Most of the movies I like are pretty dark, so these along with Hayao Miyazaki films tend to be the warmer movies that I like. But a lot of their other recent ones were kind of just decent. Princess and the Frog was mediocre.
What the heck? How did that happen?Penumbra said:On a weird note, Tangled was apparently the second most expensive movie ever made, and the most expensive animated movie ever made. It was more expensive than Avatar, Quantum of Solace, Transformers Revenge of the Fallen, X-Men 3, and other expensive movies.

Expensive animation I suppose. Disney regularly pioneers animation methods, and they've used some new methods for this one. What the heck? How did that happen?
