From 1970 to 1984 Haidakhan Babaji taught a path to Shiva or God. He is also called just Babaji, or Bhole Baba. Sondra Ray has said that Haidakhan Babaji is Babaji Mahavatar from Autobiography of a Yogi by Paramahamsa Yogananda. He was known to have sat for 45 days in complete stillness in the divine state of consciousness known as Sahaja Nirvikalpa Samadhi.

Can you tell me anything about the role of Diksha (initiation) in Babaji's teachings? I am quite interested in his teachings, but further investigation would not be necessary if I needed a priest to perform an initiation on me.
