Telekinesis

Never gave it any thought
Now you mention it, I have seen plenty of proof "first hand myself" that it exists and is a reality
Pray to God [meaning some distant] and I got healed [object moved out of my body]

I have never done it myself though, unless people claim God does not exist, then my prayer must mean I did it myself
But for the sake of humbling my ego it is better for me to believe in God doing the magic stuff, and i do normal stuff;)

So for me it is a necessity to believe in God
Otherwise it would mean I am capable of quite a few magic things
And I don't even want to go there, I saw many people ego tripping on their psychic powers

Yeah. Why is it in Religious Topics > Religious Debates?

.
and He went to the wilderness.....and was hungered.....
and the adversary said...turn the stone to bread and eat

He refused

standing to a high ledge the adversary said......cast yourself down
and the angelic of heaven will bear you up

He refused

He also declined a worldly crown

but then He turned water to wine
healed the sick
the lame took stride
the blind did see
He walked on water
and storms dispelled by His command

and what shall we do?

In as much as telekinesis is moving objects (scooting a spoon across a table) or reshaping them (bending a spoon) with the power of the mind, I fail to see the relevance here.

I don't think this subject matter qualifies as religious either, but I guess that is an open call.

Telekinesis is certainly a tempting fantasy. Many a time I wanted to believe in it.

The Bible is filled with all types of nonsensical scenarios, like teleporting, shapeshifting, levitation, astral projection, and phase shifting. There are claims of demon pigs, Herculean characters, Salt people, talking animals, magic rocks, etc... I don't see how quoting a passage about object transformation, or conversations with mythical creatures, makes any of it any more believable...

If something is possible, surely it can be demonstrated in something other than old fables, right?

If the only evidence of something is faith in it, then that's no evidence at all.

Wonderful examples of telekinesis = "the supposed ability to move objects at a distance by mental power or other non-physical means"
Of course needs a little creativity to see the "tele" and the "kinesis" here. But I did not expect our "Thief" to make it too easy for us.
Well done. I love it when I need to massage my little gray cells a bit to find solutions. These ones take "telekinesis" to a different level.

I remember another nice example. "Moses His staff transformed into snake and back". Were magical times. I love these stories.
Also used in parting the red sea "talking about telekinesis to really extreme levels"
