What do you like best? The best thing about my faith is Jesus. If not for Jesus, why else would I follow.

What do you like least?
I don't like the way some people add things to Christianity that Jesus never said. Jesus said to love all, judge no one, and so forth, but I see too many people doing just that.

What seperates your religion from others? Not much really, I see a lot of similarities between Christianity and other religion. The one big thing is Jesus.

What is the closest religion to yours?
Judaism

What is the furthest religion from yours?
Satanism

Would you welcome people to convert to your religion?Sure, I have witnessed to others, atheists and agnostics and I would love for them to accept God.

What would be the biggest reason they should?God wants people to believe in Him. They are His children and He loves them. It probably breaks His heart to His children not believe.

Are there any fundamentalist Muslims or Christians in the U.U. church?
Well, I certainly don't know the belief system of every UU, but I think a fundamentalist Muslim or Christian would have a hard time reconciling their beliefs with UU Principles and the diversity of activities that would be going on in a UU church.

:p
yes because there is no number to the great crowd that will have the chance to get through the great tribulation.REVELATION 7;9-14 And as Jesus said at John 17;3 this means everlasting life
This means everlasting life, their taking in knowledge of you, the only true God, and of the one whom you sent forth, Jesus Christ.

Please remember this is not a debate.
I will keep reminding myself of this fact. :p

I am a Germanic Heathen. That means I religiously honor my ancestors, somewhat treated as minor gods at least. "Ancestors" include our beloved dead, the elements of nature and the divinities, which are the cosmic gods as well as our divine ancestors. To refer to the divinities, most of us prefer to use at least Germanic variants of their titles, especially Nordic (ex. Thor, Odin, Tyr, Frigg, Freyja, Frey etc.)

What I like is the indigenous identity. With Heathenry I have a tribal culture with traditional roots, similarly to Shintos or Native Americans. I feel like I have rights to a native culture, language system and symbology.

What I don't like is the racist tendencies. Some take ethnic Pride and turn it into Nazism.

What separates my religion from others is the indigenous culture. Germanic Heathenry is of specifically Germanic culture. We also reject ideas popularized in World Religions like predestination, salvation, damnation or religious submission. We freely weave our own lives without any ultimatums or limitations from anything, even the gods. We do this while we regularly worship by giving gifts in ritual. Singing songs isn't emphasized, but libation and gift exchange is.

I would say the closest religions are Vedic Polytheism, Druidry and Traditional Shamanisms. Vedic Polytheism has the same Indo-European origins as Heathenry and Druidry, giving cognates like Druid Taranis, Norse Thor or Vedic Indra, all thunder gods.

Heathenry is an indigenous religion, while Abrahamic paths are monotheistic. This makes them both very different. Indigenous traditions spring forth "indigenously" or "natively" amongst a community. The opposite, coincidentally monotheistic, are the artificial traditions, where an ideology is created by aristocrats or cult leaders and inserted into the community synthetically, sometimes by force.

As far as conversion, Heathens don't care. The Indigenously religious, pagans and Polytheists aren't on a holy mission to grow and spread. Your worldview and worship is your business. We of course welcome seekers, but they seek us, we don't seek them.

There's no particular reason to be heathen or not as far as afterlife. The only things that can be offered are the symbolic wisdom and understanding from the metaphors of mythology as well as a powerful relationship to your spiritual kin. If you don't want that then fine, it's not effecting any of our eternal existences. I would go so far as to say that Heathenry is NOT for everyone. The gods don't look kindly on those who call themselves Heathen but are weak minded, easily indoctrinated, insecure etc.

Baha'i
This is an old thread... just "revived" after seven years! I've not posted on it so might as well anyway...

Being a Baha'i is a religion I like best...been a Baha'i for several years..married a Baha'i ..raised my children in the Faith.

Baha'is are very open to people from other religions... there are no restrictions on marriage with non-Baha'is. Non-Baha'is are also welcome at Baha'i Centers and places of worship. Being a Baha'i means you accept the Divine origin of the main religions of the world... You do not have to reject Buddha, Zoroaster, Krishna, Moses, Muhammad or Jesus when you become a Baha'i. The Baha'i Faith has it's own calendar and Writings...The Bible, the Qur'an are respected.

The principles of the Faith are progressive... We believe men and women are equal.. that there should be universal education, that a representative world parliament and international court of arbitration should be established to abolish war. Further the extremes of wealth and poverty should be reduced.
